I painted a Badrukk recently. He's a really fun model to work on and looks damn snazzy. Shame he's a Flash Gitz upgrade, but makes a great "counts as".

I'm not a fan of the gray knights really, or many of their models. But this is pretty awesome.

My vote would be for the Orked-up, scratchbuilt Optimus Prime that actually transforms, but if we're talking official models, I have to go with the Death Korps Kommissar as well. It's the only Forge World model I own. The Stompa is way up there too, and the Talos Pain Engine almost made me start a Dark Eldar army.

I painted a BW as Optimus prime

Coolest model will have to go for the DV Chaos Lord, best CSM lord I saw and if you place Possessed wings on the back instead of his Backpack he looks even more badass

I want to hug that model... hope it blows up a Riptide show the true meaning of big robots to those pesky Tau .

On a side note the Riptide is pretty cool as well .

I dunno about individual models, but DE get my vote for best-looking army. I can't think of a single model that I don't like.

I loved this model from the moment it first appeared. I just recently got one to use as a Herald in my Daemon army. Pity my Seekers keep getting wiped out pretty much immediately...

I've gotta say, I think the Cataphractii Terminators are by and far the coolest models GW have ever put out.

Though the FW Greater Daemons are all fantastic as well.

The good old basic assault cannon/CCW Dreadnaught.

It is literally the model that got me looking into 40k's lore and a deciding factor on my choice of army (SMs get Dreadnaughts? Oh hell yeah!)

The Scourges are extremely cool (the mane reason why I started DE); also, I really like the Riptide and, for some reason, the Red Terror. Not really sure why.

The Dark Eldar Lhamaean is one sexy model that I would definitely use if I played Dark Eldar. Not as a Lhamaean, but as a female Archon.

Spoiler:

Also, Incubi.

Spoiler:

On the Orky side of things, I really love the look of the FW Megadread, Grot Mega Tank, Kill Krusha, and Battle Fortress.

Contemptor Dreadnaught

Looks like what an armored Space Marine, on life-support and without any loss of combat effectiveness should look like. Wish there were cheaper versions.

The Tartatos Terminators are also pretty sweet, what with looking like baby Contemptors.

I agree. Games Workshop might make an idiot of themselves sometimes, but they really got the design of the Dark Eldar release right. It's a brilliant army to look at.

Orktimus Prime made my day.

That being said, my favorite factory models are Eldrad, Coteaz, and Tycho. All three have amazing detailing to their sculpts, which make them a joy to paint a beauty to behold. (Tycho looks especially smashing in Salamander green, once I filed off all of his Blood Angels iconography...)

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.
