I want to model my Riptide crushing a foe. Which should I pick?

Everyone is at war with the Tyranids.

Orks are an enemy of Tau.

We are battling the space marines across the warp. (Which chapter?)

Other suggestions?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Then I need to find a single model to melt, smash, and squish. Muahahahahahahahahaa.

What army does your best friend play? Which army do you have the most trouble with? Are you painting a faction with a grudge? Do you play other armies?

Choosing which race to decorate your bases with is almost as personal a choice as picking which army to play.

My best friend plays grey knights. I haven't played a game yet as I've spent so much time painting and modeling my army. I really enjoy the modeling aspect and hinged and magnetized my devilish and also magnetized my crisis suits.

Honestly man I'd wait until I had a main opponent and then model the squishing

I can get behind that. Thanks for the tips. I'll keep getting the rest of my army finished. I still have quite a bit of painting and assembling to do before I even think about my riptide.

I picture it posed with the foot ready to come down on the enemy.

In this case, you could always just pin a placeholder piece in place, and wait for your Riptide to kill something truly worthy of immortalization. My buddy's wolf guard model kneecapped a Bloodthirster in close combat. I modeled a "Skull" for him, and he made the trophy part of the base for the model responsible for the kill.

You can magnetize victims and swap for who you are playing.

One advantage of crushing your buddies is you might be able to swap spare guys with them. So you don't need to go out and buy any.

I like the idea of a mega armored nob or maybe a killa kan holding the riptide's foot at bay in a comical way.

I despise 'nids. If anything deserves to be crushed, it's a bug.

What about fluff reasons? I plan having Tau as my Necron allies (all because of that delicious Riptide... ) so the only "fluffy" reason I could come up with was a Tyranid invasion. A crushed Carnifex for me

Magnetize the placeholder, and swap out whatever the Riptide is crushing for whatever army you're playing at the time.

Depends on the color of the Riptide. Ideally try and pick a race whose color will create a good contrast with your Riptide's base color.

The model will be squished flay with the basing material pushed up to it like its been pushed into the ground, so a magnetic swap out doesn't seem feasible.

I like the warjack idea. Or maybe something from Chapterhouse? Or like Alleton's idea, TRYING to crush something from chapterhouse

I would magnetize models of various armies and then depending on who you are playing against use that model against them, so if it is IG you are facing off of, use your magnetized yarrik, or if it is nids, magnetize a stealer etc... this would be funny and awesome to see!

You may use anything I post, just remember to give me credit if used somewhere else.

If you want to go with something background related, I'd make it an imperial unit since the riptide was first used against imperial forces.
