Under the couch

Brains.

I have no problem with what they are, just can't stand the taste or the texture.

There's also a horrible thing called the 'Papua New Guinea Bean' (probably has another name, as I can't find it on google...)... We had them growing in the garden for a while when I was a teenager. Although when I say 'in the garden'I actually mean that they briefly over most of the southern hemisphere... They grow on a creeper vine like a pumpkin, that grows really quickly, and the beans grow to around 3 foot in length. When fried, they taste kind of like the way mice smell. But because the alternative was to die a horrible and slow death as they slowly invaded the house, we ate them fairly solidly for several months.

If I never have to eat them ever again, I'll die happy.

three things I cannot eat

1) Liver. stuff makes my mouth itchy and I hate it.
2) Canned spinach. Texture and smell mixed makes me gag.
3) Chicken flavored cup ramen. I ate it for three years, twice a day, When I was homeless. Makes me puke now.

Other than that, I can eat anything I can choke down.

Ouze i have the same problem with KFC. My problem is something to do with my liver not processing the oil properly. So if your problem is anything like mine then it might be worth going to a doctor and having it checked out to make sure it's not a warning for something worse down the road.

The "food" on this barge I'm on right now. I think I've lost 10 kg in the 8 weeks I've been here.

Otherwise, I despise brussel sprouts, peanut butter and mushrooms, and don't care for chinese food, though I do eat the latter occasionally.
Pretty much anything else I can devour with gusto.

I also have pretty much stopped drinking soda. I have not lost weight. Then again, that may have something to do with having replaced it with beer :-D .

MRE bread is fantastic, the desserts aren't awful either. Also Jalapeno Cheese Spread substance.

I dislike mushrooms and brussel sprouts. I love diced/chopped tomatoes, but can't stand sliced or whole. Similarly, I go through a lot of orange juice, but dislike the texture of actual oranges. The exact opposite holds true for apples.
On a whole, I dislike butter on my veggies.

As far as what I can't eat, spicy food in general just gives me a bad time (except for wasabi, that stuff is just awesome), which sucks, since I really like spicy food.
Really greasy food can also have a bad effect on me.
Celiac disease runs in my family, so I may have to watch out for that in the future, but as it stands, I attribute my poor tolerance to most food simply to being from a weak stomach, since my reactions tend to be pretty eratic.

There's only two ways to make spicy food, in spite of or in deference to, the weakest person in the house.

Option two really isn't an option. Bring the heat!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Side note: Thai hot pad thai is some of the greatest food and MEDICINE on earth. At that level of spicy it'll either cure what ails you or kill you trying.

Can't drink coffee anymore-it burns my chest going down. I have to find ways to substitute it-chocolate covered espresso beans, possibly iced coffee (haven't tried this yet) but it recently started happening. Soda before bed is also bad, and Coke and Pepsi are usually no-no's, but those new Kickstart Mt. Dew breakfast drinks don't bother me. Weird. But no foods cause me allergies, so there are just a few foods I can't get down. I can't eat eggs as a main food-put them in cookies, pancakes, or fried rice, and they go down easy. Anything else, no way. I can't handle the smell, and I choke. Mushrooms are disgusting, and anyone who thinks they were a good idea should have been excommunicated from Earth. Same goes for all you brussels sprout haters out there: those are the most delicious veggies on the planet. Throw them in balsamic vinegar, chopped garlic, then put them on the grill (in a tinfoil boat). They'll be the most amazing veggie you've ever had and you'll thank me.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I can't drink Tequila anymore....It makes me violently ill. Also Southern Comfort has much the same effect on my stomach, this is due to an overindulgence of both these drinks when I was young and stupid....

Food wise? I'm easy when it comes to food. I can't eat Balut though. I've tried it and it just doesn't work for me. For those of you unfamiliar with this Philippine 'Delicacy', here is what Wikipedia have to say...

"A balut or balot is a fertilized duck embryo that is boiled and eaten in the shell. It is commonly sold as streetfood in the Philippines. They are common food in countries in Southeast Asia, such as Laos, Cambodia (pong tia koon ពងទាកូន in Cambodian)[1] and Vietnam (trứng vịt lộn or hột vịt lộn in Vietnamese). They are often served with beer.
The Filipino and Malay word balut (balot) means "wrapped" – depending on pronunciation."

And here is a picture (spoilered for those with a delicate stomach)

I intensely dislike most forms of alcohol (though I'm fine with Vodka, Jim Beam and Canadian Club). I cannot stand wine.

But I cannot eat avocado. Makes me physically ill. Mushrooms have a similar effect.

Shellfish with the exception of scallops, which are amazing in a creamy masala sauce. Insect based cuisine just turns my stomach - particularly those big witchetty grubs that burst and unleash a torrent of yellow liquid on the diner's chin; man I hope I'm never that hungry.

There's plenty of stuff I probably wouldn't eat, but the only thing I'm supposedly unable to eat is beetroot, as I am, by all accounts allergic to it. I had it when I was younger, didn't like it, and it brought me out in a rash.

I know this sounds vague, but as I hate beetroot, I don't eat it, so can't prove or disprove my allergy to it, although the very smell of it makes me want to puke, so there may be something to it.

I usually only avoid foods I can't eat (intolerances, mostly. Like raw tomato - there's an amino acid in raw tomato that disagrees with me).
It's pretty much why I'll avoid Thai, Malay, Indian, Indonesian foods. Usually it's one of the spices that makes the whole dish inedible to me - and having it without it changes the dish flavour balance so that it doesn't work either.

Bourbon makes me hurl. Doesn't matter if it's rough as guts backyard hooch or the "good stuff". Even "American Honey" (lauded by many of my mates as manna from heaven) makes me hurl. It's not as bad a reaction as normal, but it still happens.

Irish and Scotch Whisky/Whiskeys however, do not have this effect unless I have consumed waaaaaay too much. Bourbon - it's one shot and goooooone.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Cook them up in some bacon grease, then chop up the bacon and add. I hated brussels sprouts until I tried them this way

I used to avoid any and all vegetables, this has changed in the past 2 years, and even more so in the past 6 months. The biggest thing is smell, if it smells like fermented ass, I won't eat it, which was my biggest issue with vegetables, I would get "steamed" veggies, which when over cooked smell like butthole...

I'm not allergic to anything, so I'll eat pretty much anything...

I think for the most part I'll try almost anything, except testicles... I have no intention on eating balls...

When we were little, my brother and I loved dippy egg and soldiers. We worked out a deal where I'd get both my egg and his first and eat the yolks and he'd get both eggs after for the whites, which he preferred.

My wife despairs of me now when we have a breakfast out and I 'perform surgery' on a fried egg to get the yolk onto toast or hash browns and dispose of the white.
