I've been trying to figure out why the dakka website continues to give my iPhone a brain fart. It freezes up or stops loading or halfway down the thread it'll just be a big black blank spot. When I try to refresh the phone freaks and kicks me out of the browser. When I try to log in it does it a couple more times before it settles down. It only happens occasionally but it is annoying. The reception doesn't seem to be the problem since I always see to have full bars or be on wifi. Is there s setting that I need to change or something?

It happens to me from time to time. Seems to happen more often when there are pictures in the thread.

Is there no way to fix it?

I have the same issues. Also, it will often redirect meto a new page if I click the option to move to the newest post I haven't read yet. It's terrible. Any chances at a fix, Lego? I spend a lot of time on Dakka because work allows for it. I need my Internet fix!!!

Yeah, I get this same issue. Super annoying.

Still having this problem.

With mine I find that the browser locks up halfway down a page and the screen often goes white. I can exit and leave the browser, but when I open it again I still just have white and are unable to open any other pages or do anything for a minute or two before it refreshes when the browser just comes back to life.

This only started after the last iOS update, it tends to happen most frequently with threads including pictures and it doesn't happen with any other site I've been on.

Noted. I'm not able to duplicate this on an ipad but will check it out on a friend's iphone. Any way I can consistently duplicate will help, but it sounds like a very specific issue that will be hard to track down. What percentage of views does it occur on? Is there a single thread/page that it happens on 100% of the time?

Never had it happen 100% of the time, or oh my god would I be complaining more, but it does anecdotally seem to happen much more on pages with pictures or videos, though it doesn't necessarily freeze At the picture. Happens a few times a night, so I imagine it would indeed be something hard to make happen and track down.

When it does happen to me, it usually happens in a thread with images.

I can scroll until the screen comes up black from below, then freezes. Can't go back or click anything. Closing the browser and restarting it causes it to not be able to load and then shut down the browser. Next restart puts me back at the beginning of the thread.

And it is the first page of the thread where it happens d-usa? What exact version of iOS and what model phone are you using? Thanks!

I used to have something similar on my iPhone. Since upgrading to an Android its better. The only eimilar issue is my phone only loads half a page unless I refresh. I think its more my phone than the site though.

Personally on the iPhone topic, I think its intentional. Due to there dickishness only using Apple media, as thanks, Apple have prevented access to Wargame forums with GW bashing, rumoirs, and other systems.
