Just pray you go first! That single model would wipe out the entire Seer Council in a single shot, easily, if you aren't juiced up.

I am the head TO yes, and I typically make the final call on rules arbitration. And this model will not be allowed as is, I will tell you that now with total certainty.

Because this XV107 suit will dominate any other build if the experimental rules are right. It will down the council in a turn if you fail your GoTN roll. The fateweaver will die after turn one if you put him on the board.

And their is also some debate on using fateweaver re roll while he is in reserve. Where do you weigh in on this Reecius since I believe you will be the TO?

Also I think people will understand a band list on some forgeworld models.

I disagree, It sets a bad precedence if you ban certain models. It opens the door to where you are forced to bring certain models that everyone deems "Fair" suddenly you may not be able to bring Heldrakes or Vendettas or or the magical flying sparkling bird.
I am of the opinion that TOs should allow you to build the army you wish within the rules. but that is my opinon.
And Grant, Ill just bring some Buck Shot for that Deel council.

I hope those rules become official.

Trust me, this is an old, old, old argument and we've been around and around a million times on this subject. I understand your stance, and share it, but this is just WTF over the top no way, no, no, no over powered.

Of course you would, you don't like FW in tournaments and this would strengthen your argument.

I reallly hope they change them somewhat, Because it would be a Shame if an awesome looking model got banned. But I think just making a few tweaks, like the gun does not allow it to fire twice. Or they are 2 small blasts that get Novad into bigger blasts. I think removing the 4 blasts will go along way to making this better. Im a Tau player and even Im sickened by what it can do.

Yeah, they can't have play tested this yet. I mean, it literally has the firepower of half a dozen normal blast weapon tanks, it's absurd, plus it is incredibly difficult to kill.

We'll see how it pans out with the final rules though, for now we're just left picking our jaws off of the ground! haha

I just looked at those rules, and cried a little. Good bye to anything other than hordes. But wait, they have fire warriors for those... Dang. That definitely needs some tweaking to give the opposing team a shot.

I got a better idea, Print shirts that say "Yeah, I Brought a R'Varna. Im that Guy" And give it to anyone who brings one, and require they wear it. We may be shamed, but we can use that model

You don't need a banned list just state experimental rules like the Rvarna won't be allowed. That's a logical way of dealing with it and hopefully its full official printed rules won't be so crazy.

I think alot right now are thinking What id they do not change. How do we deal with and obviously OP model?

I highly doubt that the rules would be finalized by LVO anyways. Forgeworld seems to take forever to make experimental rules final. I'd imagine this would hold especially true since they are focusing on the HH series.

The problem is, come LVO time, those rules may no longer be experimental. And judging from FW tendencies, usually they don't end up changing their "experimental rules". Rather, they just end up adjusting the costs.

It is nice to see that Forge World is keeping up with the times and making broken Riptides for Tau and the Hornet for Eldar.

I think if we end up having to create a list of banned FW units it is just easier to not have FW at tournaments. Creating a banned list introduces so many more complications plus a ban list is just a nicer way of saying Comp. Then again you know my stance on this issue already Reece!

I am really looking forward to this. I plan on booking the flights this month, and will be reserving the room this week. That reminds me I need to buy the Con Badges for both Natalie and myself... Well my 40k tournament ticket is bought at least so that's the important part taken care of at least.

I have been talking to the folks at Forge World about this. I told them I have been a staunch champion of their products and that this model is just way out of line.

They told me they take all feedback seriously and were very responsive.

So, please write them and tell them that this model is way over the top and if enough of us do so, they will listen.

Yeah, we don't allow experimental rules, never have. I reacted emotionally a bit (obviously) and I think if we all take action we can prevent this form becoming too much of an issue and continue to have fun using FW.
