Hi guys!

I accidentially posted this in the standard modeling forum first...

Thought I start with introducing myself - you can call me Jeff Vader and I´ve been an active painter on and off for the last 20 years or so. Sometimes very off.
But... I, like many others, recently got bitten by the Inq28 bug and has been stuck in somewhat of a converting frenzy the last few months. I´ve been quite active on the excellent Ammobunkers Inq28 forum, but some of these minis might be of interest to a wider audience.

Anyway - on to the pictures. Here´s a bunch of my latest creations:

=I= Mechanicus Adept Prokofiev =I=

=I= Assassinatrix Mlle. Pamina De Burgh "The Red Lady" =I=

=I= Ordo Hereticus Witchhunter Orff =I=

=I= Former Guard Officer Clintus =I=

=I= Ordo Malleus Inquisitor Mahler =I=

=I= Adept Priest Mangs =I=

I´ll post some more in-progress stuff when I get crackin´ on the next mini.
Which will be soon.

Cheers!

New parts arrived today so I've just started testfitting a truecale Slaneesh renegade. He'll be a sort of companion piece to the truescale loyalist marine you can see in the previous post.

Slaneesh has always been my favourite chaos deity - there's a subtle nastiness surrounding him/her that I vastly prefer over the boring singleminded brutality of Khorne.

Beautiful figures - I like the cheque patterns on the Magos and the assassin, in particular.

Question: What's the head on the Slaanesh TS marine? That guy is shaping up very nicely, and it is very close to what imagined for the Pariah novel's character, Teke.

Ah Mr. Jeff Vader, very nice that you decided to find your way with your excellent work to the murky halls off Dakka. You are most welcome here.

I have a little hobby-thread going in the P&M section. Some say it's the best blog on Dakka, some don't agree, most belive it would be better if I finished at least one project some time this century and not just kept starting new ones.
Check it out, you just might like it.

Hmm... why does that sound familiar... The Red Lady? Pamina De Burgh?

Red... Lady... De... Burgh...

Oh God!

Aside from that heresy, i'm loving this blog. Great conversions and painting. Looking forward to seeing the True Scale Marines finished.

You are a true artist. Gorgeous painting that is very unique to you. Did you develop your overall color palette through schooling or years of painting the colors you choose? Were you emulating someone in particular? Is it something you even think about? Haha so many questions. Obviously looking Frwd to more!

Happy you guys like 'em! Thanks for all the kind words!

Izanagi: the head is from the new chaos chariot. Some great parts in there even if the model itself is a bit over the top...

Death: first time I hear someone call Chris de Burgh heretical... ;-)

Bebop: I'm very inspired by the whole Inq28 movement, Migs, PDH and the rest of the lot. But, perhaps JRN in particular - that's really what I'm striving for. I'm much sloppier though...

The mutie I made a while ago (linky: http://convertorum.blogspot.se/2013/04/a-candle-in-darkness.html ) has recieved a baby brother!

I'm thinking about following in JBs footsteps and having a go at a classic painting on the parchment. Mona Lisa feels a bit done though...
Bruegel? Bosch? Goya?
Suggestions are more than welcome!

Well... Mutie no.2 is all but finished. Only thing left is a few touchups.

And, of course, to decide what masterpiece to pay homage to/massacre on the parchment.

LOL... holy hell! That's freakin' awesome, man! It seriously looks like one of those JB paintings in GW sourcebooks!

P.S. - The standard Warriors of Chaos Charriot? Just like that? No skinning or modification on you part? Damn. I can't blow off $40~USD or for that one piece alone, but that head is freaking great... I'm definitely looking forward to your TS Slaanesh marine getting painted up.

Incredible work. These are probably the most Blanche miniatures I've ever seen that weren't actually done by Blanche himself.

A paltry question given all the fantastic converting and paintwork in this thread, but I'm curious how you do your bases. they really complement the gritty look of the models. The one Mangs is standing on is a great blend of greys and earth tones, mind if I ask what your method was?

Did you know? The Reach belongs to the Forsworn.

Wonderous Mr. Vader, Da Capo!

Perhaps we should meet one distant day in the future, being residents of our fair capital both, and make strange and grusome things with paint and brush in the far future of the 41st millennium to the adoring roars of the multidinious crowds of the Dakka-sphere.

Thanks for all the kind words!

Ghost: The one Mangs is standing has basically two components - the rock is a small piece of bark and then its painted with homemade textured paint - dark brown acrylic paint with sand and a dash of pva glue in it. Then its just dry brush drybrush and drybrush with progressively lighter browns up to orange for earth and light grey for the stone. Then a final light drybrush of light flesh to bring it all together.

Ephrael: The legs on the chrono gladiator came from one of the new chaos cultists (with the upper half chopped away of course).

Thank you for the fast reply Jeff Vader, I was hoping the legs were from one of those cultists. I have some coming in the mail and want to use them on a conversion of my own. I'm trying to get my friends to build and play Inq28 by converting some miniatures myself.
