Noone mentioning Psychotropic Grenades?
I mean, sure, Runes of Warding are a pain if you want to actually, you know, cast a spell with your librarian. But at least he can still punch stuff normally.
Even just a Techmarine with those grenades though? It pretty much means whatever unit he's attached to automatically wins combat 5/6 times against any opponent...

The Shokk Attack Gun. You've never had this much fun firing something that has just as much of a chance of killing you as it does to remove everything the large blast touches from play and autopenning vehicles.

The Shokk Attack gun is what occasionally makes me interested in Orks. I was so sad when 3rd edition dropped, and was told 'just use your SAGs as big gun batteries, it's the same thing'.

There are better options here, but I'd beseech people not to forget the regimental standard. It's been the difference between my guard army fighting to the death and tabling itself with a few bad morale rolls on more than one occasion.

I think people will agree with Runes of Warding once the new Codex comes out and it gets hit by the nerf bat more times than a baby seal.
But then it will be 'old wargear' so won't be part of this discussion. :-P
