I had to jump into this for 5 sprues. Might even bump it to 10. Really hope it funds.

Can anyone tell me if the heavy weapons are designed to fit figures or vehicles? I've looked at the KS and several pages of the thread and I can't find the answer.

They're for figures!! Weapon platform (or adaptable for other vehicles) weapons are on the bonus sprue - one free to all backers but this can also be chosen as a reward in its own right.

As an Ork player I want these to mount on my orky wagons...

I just don't understand a world in which a project to sell what are essentially Thunderfire Cannons, 3 for $15 total, ... in plastic.... can't get funded.

As a backer, I has a sad :/

Who needs 3 thunderfire cannons?

If they had gone for Guard or Ork-style heavy weapons carriages, it might have been a different story.

Thats a pretty good point, actually.

Although, of course, you could make it into a Lobba, Zappa or Kannon with absolute minimum effort if you don't mind treads over wheels.

I agree that this project deserves a lot more attention.

Hard plastic sprues!

£10 sweet spot!

Definitely worth a punt.

Ladies and gentleman of Dakka, I think we need to see what we can do to get this the remaining £3k it needs.

Accounts on other forums? Go mention it.

Not only have I done my part by pledging (tore the funds right out of Mantic's hands), but I also did my part by telling everyone about it at the Y, at Micky Dee's and on the bus home.

You're welcome.

On a more serious note, I can't believe this hasn't been funded days ago. Has no one at Bolter and Chainsword seen this? Those power weapons are gorgeous!

It's listing it in hours now, hopefully it will get a surge! I just emailed the local 40k group about it

I am getting enough tracks for 9 kannons and 3 lobbas and maybe some grot tanks... but right now I can only really make lobbas from combining the sprues. I kinda would have liked to see a 'kannon' somehow. Maybe the thunderfire gun with a different barrel.

I hope this funds!

I upped my pledge as well to support them, as I believe this is a worthwhile product whose time has come. I just don't know if it'll end up funding.

I think this is a great product and I would have loved to see them funded to their goal. That being said, the video on their KS page needed a lot of work to draw in funding.

I'm not one for lots of OTT production, but some cool intro and more painted close ups will sell much better then staff introductions.

Whoa, someone jumped in for the 500-pound pledge! That helps a Lot, only 2.3K pounds of the original 10K left to go by Sunday night

Come on lads, you can spare 10 pounds to help a new bits company get off the ground. It's a good deal and would set a great precedent. All of you who have been asking for hard plastic on Everything... you know who you are

Where is Breotan, I assume he has pledged!

Welp, I shared it on my Facebook page and put a post on a local gaming group's forum. Think I may have found one interested person; not much but, eh, every little bit helps.

Iron Warriors renegade guard auxiliaries heavy weapons squads ahoy. Don't think I'll go for the weapon sprues other than the bonus, but mount 40k weapons on them instead.

The KS page is definitely not well organised, but I love what they're doing.

*sniff* we weren't going to have any video but in the end decided a short introduction with three grown men looking uncomfortable in front of a camera at least put a face to the business...

We've pointed out from the get go that this was a hobby/enthusiast project - we've had comparisons made with Mantic and lots of other full time production businesses...

If we don't fund I'm tempted to have the project tooled through PDC Limited but we're not a toymaker - we're a very serious engineering outfit and if I take the "staff work for free in development because we love it" aspect out of the equation we become like the Evil Empire.... I never wanted this venture to be all about the money.

Plastic parts SHOULD be cheap - in volume runs these sprues cost $1 off the mould machine - using the tooling system we've developed the actual injection mould tools aren't ridiculous money either... We would invest our profit in further tooling and eventually have an "off the shelf" range of hard plastic vehicles and components that would be fun to model and play with .

We've had some very generous offers of assistance with marketing future Kickstarter ventures (as well as graphic design assistance!?).

We can lay out technical presentations (see the case studies on the www.pdclimited.net website) but simply haven't got the time to struggle with Kickstarter's rigid system: I couldn't find a way to import my beautiful layouts from Adobe for instance.... But since there are some nice looking KS pages out there it's obviously doable if you know how.....

Anyway enough of my whinging - I hope we fund but other than taking help with the KS presentation part I wouldn't change our "doing it for fun" approach - I have more than enough seriousness in my day job!?

Still a ways to go, but looking better.

I bumped up to 20 sprues just to help out. I seriously don't need that many, but they are so cool, they will make great trade fodder.

I'm in for 10 sprues. Not that I especially need them, but these guys deserve our support.

I like this thing a lot. Only negative comments:
- the bases should be a separate sprue, and with more variants, thus giving customers a quick and easy way to base an entire 'industrial' themed army even if they're not interested in the weapons. (Some base size variants would be nice too, e.g. a couple of 40mm bases?)
- the tracks don't visually have separate links (on their edges), and so look like rubber bands. I know some real-world small diggers actually do have one-piece rubber tracks like this, but for a military model it looks too toy-like. Fixing this would simply require adding some detail to the track edges to suggest separate links.

Good luck!

Yep, lack of detail is the only problem I see, but with the weapons mainly. Some spiky bits will spice up the tanks nicely for my Iron Warrior auxilaries.

I'm glad to see this fund finally. This deserved to make way more though. I'm really surprised at that. But, hey, congratulations, PDC.

Ill pledge too, I actually ran out of bolters to use on the DF storm troopers and was gonna buy some on ebay. This seems like a better way to spend some cash money. Plus, them tracked dealies are sweet.

edit: On further inspection, I wish I had the funds to do the 3k pledge. Sounds more like an investment option that I would actually have an interest in. Well, 20 sprue pledge for me as I can't help myself.
