Heard a rumor here a few days ago that there may be a Dr. Strange movie coming in the next year or two and this has me really excited as Dr. Strange is my favorite Marvel superhero. I think Bradley Cooper would play a young Stephen Strange really well if they went that direction and for an older version Patrick Dempsey would work (he's already said he would like the role). Oh and I think James Hong would be a good Ancient One.

Who do you all think should play Dr. Strange if they make the movie?

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

Johnny Depp as Dr. strange (let's face it nobody does strange better than Depp )

Stephen Chow as Wong, Dr. Strange's butler

The movie will need a bit of humor to keep from becoming way to silly and these guys could be a fun team.

The other Dr Strange movie was just not connecting with the character that well for me.
Trying to think of someone who could pull this off with some gravitas and be interesting to watch as the westerner on a mystic trip east and back kind of like the ninja training bit in the first Batman movie.
If I had to pull a name out of a hat for it I would say Michael Fastbender.

Pierce brosnan would make a good Dr. Strange.

As would Viggo Mortensen, Alec Baldwin and Ewan McGregor

I think an aged Vigo Mortensen might make a better Ancient One, rather than the Doctor himself.

Also, I personally believe Depp would be Too strange for Doctor Strange.

I agree about Johnny Depp, he may look the part and be a "weird" actor but I don't really know if he could pull off strange. I'm not really sure about Alec Baldwin either, I just can't really see it. I do like the idea of Brosnan though! And I also think Ken Watanabe would be a good Baron Mordo

I like Reynolds but I'd boycott the movie if he was in it, he's already been in 2 Marvel movies.

If he really has what it takes to play Strange, that shouldn't stop him.

or I think maybe James Franco could do it.. I see Dr. Strange as being a bit older but YMMV/needs of the story etc etc.
