Aha - we've only played so far in Panic place in Lewisham, but I'm in Haggerston, and Fifty & Notprop aren't too far. We were planning to do a few games at somewhere like Overlords in Barking, but there's talk that Anvil Industries are planning on putting a few tables in their new offices in Docklands...

yeah,
I think we will get the campaign actually running in a month or so once Not prop and Sharazad have made their gangs.

I spent the afternoon taking some photos of my gangers for my Yakromunda sheet.
This gang tracking software is great! Check this out!

Yup. gangs and weapons summary...
These sheets update when your gang profile is updated, tracking all the stats and skills improvements/injuries and weapons.
So printing this before each game means you have every stat at your finger tips -
All amazingly useful !

yeah, it had to be Lumbergh, so If you could go ahead a change your opinion, that would be great.

Cool, not sure how I missed that after two weeks of scouring that site.

It's not me you have to convince, Dr Swanson looks like he's up to something. He didn't pass a medical degree at Necromunda Polytechnic and put on his best threads to play second fiddle. There's a challenge in the offing I'll wager!

--< SERPENTS EMBRACE UPDATE >--

So post holiday here and the usual changeable UK weather combined to give me a bit of painting time to progress the gang.

I've managed to get 13 members of the gang up to pre-highlight stage following a weeks deliberation on the scheme and am half way through a gang leader with a weapon conversion.

I started off with a grey primer and some devlin mud to get an idea of contours (help me old eyes yer see dearie ) with the plan to have black jackets and most other areas done in a quick greyscale method. Once this was done I decided it was rather drab (my usual style it seems ) and not in keeping with Necromunda's "Red Period" conception; so added some stronger colours to add some interest.

People usually say please excuse the poor photography but these are particularly bad as I contrived to bugger up the camera on holiday. So please bare with me on these unlit or backgrounded iPhone pics.

Highlights, Campaign Bases and proper photos to follow this week. Then to war!!

Hurrah! Fifty, are your guys ready? Sharazad?

In-group arrange-a-game talk...
Spoiler:
I thought I'd put this in spoilers as it's boring to casual browsers, but also we can't have multiple-person conversations on Dakka Messages. I'm unavailable on the 29th, but how would Sunday 30th sound? I'm thinking maybe we could talk to Overlords about doing some games at their handy venue in Barking? They play every Sunday afternoon, it's roughly in the middle for everyone, and they have lots of tables and terrain. We could probably get a in a few games each, swapping opponents.

Spoiler:
Sorry I can't do the 30th I'm afraid but that shouldn't preclude you folks from getting started.

I should be about most Sundays after that.

Well, since I've currently got the highest gang rating, why don't you guys do the 29th and then maybe we could try another group meeting around Sunday 7th/14th. What is everyone else's availability??

I completely forgot about this I've been a bit busy.
And unfortunately for us, sharazad has moved home to Holland and left this group.

But we shall double our efforts to find a night soon!

I'm nearly there and thought that since the thread hadn't had an attention for a while I'd load up a taster of my finished gang.

So here's a taster of the Serpents Embrace's Leader and Heavy. Based up but still iPhone I'm afraid. More soon.

Cheers fellers, I'm real pleased with the bases and the way they turned out. They probably took longer than the minis trying to find a way of doing them once I decided that's what I wanted. And it adds some much needed colour the the models.

The solution was amazingly simple - printer paper! Shame I dismissed the idea a month before I found it was the only way to do it easily.

The 27/28th looks good for me, the calendar is clear but ill have to see if the boss with long hair has anything on.

Cool, I'll check with Overlords - maybe we can have a day of gaming at their place in Barking on the Sunday? They have lots of tables and terrain.

Wow what a stunning weekend. <--that's my sunburnt face

Too many lunchtime beers and sweltering nights impacted on my planned final phase of pinning models to bases; but I have taken a few snaps of the remaining bases as there seemed to be some interest. Also I meant to credit some chaps on WargamerAU before anyone though that the edges were my great idea. As I say I tried a few things with paint and air brushes but they were all awful, then found this thread while on holiday and the most useful template that they created for Infinity fire arcs. A bit of jiggery pokery on a printer and the size was good enough for the Waterworks bases.

Finally I'm all confirmed for the Sunday 27th if Overlords can accommodate us.

There is an American sports broadcaster (retired) named John Madden, formerly an American-style football player and Super Bowl winning coach. He is the name behind the "Madden" series of games, produced by EA.

For about 15 years, he created an 'all Madden' team of players whom he believed represented the way the game was meant to be played.

I'd wondered myself. All-madden looked a little bit too like a typo for "all-midden" to me, and that would have been downright insulting (and inaccurate).

OKAY. Next batch of games is BOOKED...

Sunday 28th (this Sunday) at the Overlords in Barking - the club runs from 2pm to 7pm, so shall we meet at 2pm and game as long as we fancy?

So at the moment it's just the 4 of us listed on the front page.
A four man campaign unless anyone else wants to join in the fun.
