Yep, I love the MK1 chassis. All of the tanks were saved from people on EBay. They were very easy to repair. You should have seen some of them which were a total mess.

The tournament is this Saturday. I am going to try and set up late on Friday so all the tables are ready to go. Hope there is a good turn out. See you all then.

What a bust. After alot of people said and promised to be there last week only one of the owners that help set this up and I showed up. The weather was not a factor, parking was not a factor and resources were not a factor. One of the people that promised popped in not to apologize but to tell use how bad the Hobbit movie was. Well I posted on the FB for the community that I had a special prize for first place that I was keeping under wraps that would have been on top of the normal prizes, a $300.00 sword. My messages blew up from therlse same people wanting to hold the tournament again.

I spent nine months building an army, putting together calculators for all the dexes and advertising getting this thing ready. I spent nine month and the people that promised to be there can't even pull themselves away to keep a promise for several hour. F U people!

Sorry man! As a local I could of rallied some support for this and perhaps showed up this weekend because it was a rare weekend where I was free. For these kind of tournaments you have to be very proactive putting out constant reminders. Between escalation dropping and the hobbit releasing this weekend I doubt there was much 40k going on at all. Cant speak for others but escalation has kind of put a damper and uncertainty in the game for me.

Don't forget the kustom forcefield vehicle blobs with their bubble invulnerable save for vehicles with its range measured from the vehicle the mek was riding in.

I rather liked 3rd edition holofield falcons with starcannons.

The sad thing is that I put it out there almost every week. Talk to everyone I could and we had alot of people that said they were going to show that honestly lived 5 miles away. How much of a nerd do you have to be to break a promise because you can't wait till the evening showing of the hobbit.

Sorry to hear this, sounded like it could have been a fun event. Nerds can be tremendous flakes sometimes.
