Hi,
Does anyone know if the plasma gun set sold by forgeworld are compatible with the normal plastic cadians?
Here is a link to the set I am talking about.
Cheers

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Well they are designed for space marines. So i guess they might be larger than normal IG plasma guns. They would probably look very bulky but as a result also very deadly.
But you' probably have to repose the arms holding the weapon.
Do you like the aestetic? if not you could use regular plasma pistols and normal IG weapons and convert your own.

And plasma pistols aren't that expensive on ebay. For example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-Space-Marine-Space-Wolf-Pack-Plasma-Pistol-bits-/370590662001?pt=UK_Toys_Wargames_RL&hash=item5648ecbd71

I like that they are different to the usual plasma guns but I am more interested in them because the set would be an easy and relatively cheap way to get all the plasma guns I need. Thanks for the links and the help.

Forgeworld is known to depict things in truescale, particularly weapons. So yes, as btldoomhammer has said, they will be big.

Here's a simple conversion I do that youmight want to consider:
Just slice up a lasgun & plasma pistol & glue them together

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!! |

Not too keen on the aesthetic of this conversion. I much prefer the look of the forge world ones. They fit well without much work.
