I lol'd a bit

Why do I now have an image of their entire office running around with arms flailing?

Because you're mistaking France for the US. They are most probably knee deep in a nice Pinot Noir right now, with a hearthy bowl of bouillabaisse.

I probably would have backed this back when it was originally supposed to launch. Being able to get some well sculpted female troops in plastic would've been really nice. But, now that it's finally launched, it seems a little too expensive for me to back it. I dropped a ton on Deadzone and I'm likely to drop more because a lot of what Deadzone had to offer seemed like a good deal. For this though, the pledge levels seem awfully high for what you're getting. The lowest level in which you can get some basic troops is $95. If there were a $15 option to just get a box of troops, I might back it, but since there isn't and I'm really not all that interested in the heroes, I can't see myself putting money into this Kickstarter. Plus there's the lack of free shipping anywhere.

All that said, the Iron Empire seem to be the least cheesecake-ish of the bunch. Plus, they look like they'd go nicely with my Bauhaus forces. If I were to back it, I'd go for them.

It's like Kingdom Death

A decent sized fan base for minis which were hard to get (even though not limited release there were just so few of them),

and lots of us knew about it in advance (so much for folk getting bored by the wait)

Five hundred people obviously think otherwise, but those prices look awful to me.

Raging Heroes minis have always been priced at a bit of a premium. As an owner of some - they're well worth it.

Mantic does give great value (I'm in for $850 on Deadzone too), but Raging Heroes quality is substantially greater.

It's not cheap, but that's not the point (at least for this KS)

there's some discount to the MSRP, but more important it lets them actually make the minis

I'm still flabbergasted as to which faction to get. I love them all.

15$ for 5 individually posed miniatures is awful? Really? GW nowadays wants 35$ for 5 Dire Avengers!

I know Raging Heroes normal releases are boutique minis, my problem is just that $95 should really be getting you a bit more than 7 figures. I think if there were a low-end level that let you just get a single box of troops and that's it, I probably wouldn't have all that much of a problem.

Same here. I've got a bunch of old metal catachans, so some cheesecake females to go with the steroid enhanced males seems appropriate.

Get the $15 pledge for a single heroine. Add-on troop boxes to your heart's content. (I suppose I could be wrong in my assumption that you'll be able to pledge extra for add-ons, but that seems unlikely.)

Yeah, i actually can't do any add-ons. Besides, all I really want is 1 $15 box of troops, but to get that one box, I'd have to shell out $53 because I'd have to pledge at the $15, add on the extra $15 for what I actually want, then add another $23 for the shipping. I think I may just have to wait until these possibly see a release outside of the Kickstarter.

You can do that (but remember if you do you need to add the appropriate postage

Cool Kickstarter! Really like the concepts.

Also, well-established boutique company + lots of tits and ass = Kingdom Death levels of success.

Personally, I'm probably going to be too tapped out to contribute much to the future "Nuns wiff guns" KS, so I'll be taking the opportunity to get a majority of heavier troops to simulate SoB.

It's not excessive... The boxes will be quite large I guess. Some people just expect everything to be shipped with no further cost :(
