Bottom line

Those who knew Raging Heroes expected this to run late, and for them to act like (French) Artistes

but it ran (is running) much later than that, and they've been even more Artiste than expected

(you know that sculpt we said was finished, nope, scrapped coz we think we can do better,
irregular, but very long updates,
hosting a tumblr inspiration board that provided several unfortunate memes)

But what has arrived is very nice indeed

I knew I was naysaying and spouting warnings when this started but yeah, this exceeded my wildest expectations.

Can I say it is more or less within my initial expectations and not be considered a liar?

The only thing I did not expect so far was that weird "heroic scale" switch they attempted in the campaign and the only thing I campaigned so hard against.

That might even be the reason they scrapped so many models, they thought to make them "heroic scale" to be more compatible with GW and maybe their 80% done was in that aesthetic and when the strong opposition became apparent, they had to scrap a lot of the work they had done.

Speculation of course, no real info behind it.

But yes, when I backed I expected this evolution.

Honestly I knew it was going to be late, I've moved THREE TIMES since the KS finished. There's late, and then there's this bs.

Aside from the other explanations in the thread, which apply to me to various extents. Speaking for myself, I'm sure that my box of models is filled with beautiful sculpts, but I no longer play 40k (or haven't in a long, long time) so like Dreamforge Games's KS, my primary use for these models has pretty much expired for the foreseeable future (even though I did pick up more of them recently), and I'm pretty burned out/tired of kickstarters at this point. I had theoretically hoped to do something with them if they'd arrived over my Christmas break, but it's now February and I'm very much back at work - and I ended up doing almost nothing hobby-related until the end of my break, anyway.

If you don't have these issues, I'm sure these will be beautiful additions to whatever game you hope to use them in.

Aye, I know my next package is incoming, RH noted so on one of their facebook threads, but I'm still just waiting with no real concerns.

I'm pretty fire and forget regarding Kickstarter.. had a couple even turn up I had really forgotten I backed. That's always a bonus.

What's funny is RH isn't even my longest wait.. the metal deluxe Werewolf 20 has that distinction.. was due Jan 2013.. Although to be fair on them, I have had a standard edition of W20 as well.. so I am not entirely without product.. but that was also under a second account.

They're releasing the second wave.

If you paid for individual wave shipping - then, yes, you should expect something.
If you opted for a single shipment - then, no, you shouldn't.

Only if you paid for wave shipping of some kind. If you didn't pay for wave shipping and have models that are part of Wave 3 (or figures that got bumped to wave 3) then you should still be waiting for the final fulfilment batch. Which is in a month or something. Transit time was would be another 2-odd weeks to get to you.

Well, I have a dropship so I assumed I get everything all the time. But I heard nothing. Ah well, not like it's unusual.

If you have dropship then, yes, you should have or will soon get something presuming you ordered models that were part of Wave 2.

Well, in all fairness, we got teased about *soon on Kickstarter* for, what, four months, before they launched the first campaign? So by that metric, and let's assume a learning curve that cuts the wait in half, then they should launch in May.

Notice I didn't assume they'd ship their minis on schedule, though.

Yeah, it's probably something of an extra incentive for previous backers to back this one as well.

I will MAIL them a hand written letter on fine parchment with a fountain pen kindly requesting they feth right off if that is the case.

Wait and see I suppose, though I've got a feeling it'll be the incentive thing, seeing as I've got a feeling they'll be wanting as many souls as possible in on this one in the hopes of surpassing the previous campaign. Something along the lines of "previous backers can drop us a line after the campaign and get something something"

Though an extra coaster with a new design on it isn't farfetched either.

I am only hoping the wave 3 will be indeed the final wave.

It's what they promised.

Well, I guess it depends on how Griffin is doing with the casting I suppose. It is quite a bit of metal they need to churn out and ship to Raging HQ.

Maybe troops will come in before the metals and they'll decide to ship those out ahead of the others, another mini wave?

Shouldn't have gone for the Mechs... should've just donated the money to them. Would've reduced my anger by 80%
