HI i just picked up new eldar codex wondering which heavy support i should purchase(disregard money)
a wraithknight can shoot 7 str6ap2 or the new gun of fire prism dispersed str5 ap 3 large blast ,focussed str7 ap 2 blast, lance str9 ap 1 lance
sure wraitknight can shoot more power but he can only target 1 unit per turn but the prisms lost str 8 which is one of the only way to kill paladins or warriors

what do you think

3000 4500

A wraithknight can shoot only 2 weapons per turn.

Wraithknights are not good.

Wraithknights are good if loaded out properly. The problem people have is adding all the guns together and going "OMG"...
The best loadouts I've found are:
Dual wraithcannons
Suncannon and 1 Scatter laser
Sword, Shield, 2 star cannons

So far the effectiveness of 10 Wraithblades with Ghost Axes:
Tanked 2 Leman Russ squadrons (including the battle cannons and the triple plasma variant); whilst also getting wailed on by everything imaginable in a Fortress of Redemption. Only to get into CC with the tanks and open them up.
2000 points worth of Necrons with Forgeworld additions. Got into CC with a court of Lords and opened them up.
Killed a GUO.
Killed Angrath the Gargantuan Bloodthirster in an Apoc game (with the help of Iranna the Spirit Seer).
Ate a Hammerhead, pathfinders and scored after 3 turns of walking towards a 2000 point Tau gunline and overwatch!
And counting............

Even with those loadouts I see them as being outclassed by the cheaper and more efficient options in the HS category. You cannot go wrong with War Walkers or Fire Prisms. They both can do their intended job well and won't break the bank pointwise.

wraith knights dont die to lucky shots, they dont get stunned, immobilized, or have their weapons blown off.

They will go down in a torrent of fire that your enemy will have to spend far more than 300pts to kill them.

The suncannon/scatterlaser option is the best of the wraith knights.

However their are other choices obviously as he is not the MUST TAKE like the riptide is for tau.

Here is my rating based on how I play I deem resiliency in a unit, versatility, ad ability to stand on its own high priorities in my army.

Wraith Knight Sun Cannon/Scatterlaser - He can take massive torrents of fire, dish out massive reliable damage and needs no baby sitting
Wraithlord - Very strong in melee and shooting with 2 flamers, 2 heavy weapons and a ghost blade. He is a steal for the points.
Fire Prism - With a holofield he is very nasty and his gun is amazing
Night Spinner - with holofield, Gun in barrage and torrent is amazing
War Walkers - best in army aa we got (kind of), they also do wonders with massive shooting, I give mine star engines for 3"+d6 run so they can take pot shots and hide. (wish WISH they were fast attack)
Support Platforms Cheap and all the guns rock
Reapers - Best quad gun manners with range finders, which also help any chracter who joins the unit. Want to see a spiritseer shoot down...anything but a helldrake? ((i personally like warp spiders and wave serpents for anti air though, or tau allies))

so basically everything but reapers is awesome and even reapers are not bad per say.
