anyone know of head that work on the "modern troopers"? HF was all out when i put an order in. Or when they will have more in stock.

Though I think I still may have the extra head from the Ariadna spec op model (gas mask head) would that work?

Of course he is not Kingpin, that is a trademarked character of Marvel and you would need a specific license to create his likeness, similar to what Knight Models does.

This is quite obviously Leonard, the Bouncer. If you want to use him as this Kingpin fella, well that is your prerogative. But he doesn't look a bit like Vincent Denofrio(sp?) to me.

I think his "orifices" comment was in response to somebody's request for "the characters", which I'd assume means Kev isn't going to make any Game of Thrones look-a-likes. I can't see how the GRRM mini could be copyrighted. :/

GRRM may have allowed it. Kev's had personal and work-related dealings with him before. Not to mention that GRRM is quite a fan of collecting minis.

Then again, it could be a commission for GRRM.

You can't have a copyright on yourself but there is lots of likeness rights (especially in the US) that prohibit the use of a persons image without their consent.

Even if you are the rights holder of a photograph you have taken or a model you have sculpted, depicting another person, you might not be able to freely distribute that work without the consent of the person depicted.

Anyway; lots of cool stuff coming from Hasslefree. I just wish that the website would have thee possibility to browse all miniatures on one list instead of one sub-group at a time.

I feel that I need to take some time to write something about "The Wedding Planner" miniature I showed off on Friday.
Yes, it's supposed to look like G.R.R. Martin. I have wanted to get round to making a miniature of George since I had the good fortune of visiting him for a few days last year. He was a very generous host, especially considering the other demands on his time, and spent a good couple of hours just sat explaining (a small part of) his miniatures collection and giving me a history lesson about the hobby. While the time I spent with George was in a friendly and amicable atmosphere, I would not presume to say we were good friends because that kind of relationship doesn't happen in a couple of days. However, he made a very good impression and came across as a thoroughly nice guy and worthy King Of All Things Nerdy (first of his name and long may he reign).
It is my understanding that HF would have no legal problem what so ever from selling The Wedding Planner, given that there would be no use of terms or names associated with George or his works and that his image could be used under the guidelines of parody and fair use.... however from a moral point of view I want to get his permission before giving the miniature to Dameon for full production.
I will try to get in contact with George or his representatives later this week about this miniature and I will let you all know about its availability (or lack thereof) as and when I know myself

I really really want HF to release their modern firearms in groups of 3-5 for each type, without hands or anything attached. I so want to add some of them to my Ariadna miniatures, especially the AK-47 or AK-74 or whatever it is above. They look a lot nicer than the way over-sized Infinity ones.

They have some modern arms, but stuff like the AK isn't present as of yet. IIRC there was a call on Facebook a while ago asking about what guns should be added to their range over time.

Yeah, the modern weapons their modern troopers hold are the ones I want, not the ones they already have up for sale. They said late last year they'd be releasing them around November/December, but it never came to pass.
