The Curse of Anraheir is a hex spell that will cause its targeted unit to have -1 to Hit ( I believe that's part of it) and also treat all terrain as dangerous terrain.

So the question is, if you take wounds from failing a dangerous terrain test from this spell, can you use Magic Resistance as your ward save against it? The question is being asked because on the one hand it's damage you're taking because the cause is from the spell, and on the other hand the damage being done is kind of indirect. Meaning one spell like a magic missile or direct damage spell hits the target unit and does magic damage. In this case you are hexed and for the rules of Dangerous terrain you take damage from the terrain.

Dangerous Terrain is not damage from a spell, sorry, but no MR on this.

As above. The spell did not cause damage, the terrain did

Where do people stand on this with ethereal creatures then?

On the one hand it "could" be argued it impedes their movement which they should be immune to. Additionally is the damage from a DT check? (ethereals ignore all terrain). Is it a magical DT check? (only effected by magical spells or effects).

I think they still ignore it - they are still treating It as dangerous terrain, but they ignore dangerous terrain.

All terrain is dangerous, and tests are failed on a 1 or 2.
Ethereals don't test.

They still take a -1 to hit in combat, but ignore the difficult aspect.
