We all like to go back and forth and say this army is better than this one, this list beats that, etc...but in the end, which army could actually go the distance and rule the world?

Feel free to use whatever you want to justify your choice. Army fluff, ideals, logistics, anything and everything is perfectly fine when deciding. Doesn't even have to be an army you play, just keep the main point in your mind when deciding:

Which army could actually find a way to rule the world indefinitely?

Probably Daemons. If another Incursion happened, at it was successful, I think they'd pretty much have the world wrapped up.

OnG and Skaven deserve a mention though. They're numerous and strong enough to conquer the world, they would just have to stop bickering amongst themselves first...

I think Warrior of Chaos could do it, The stongerst warriors and have almost done it before, I also think the Vamps could do it but they have way to much in fighting to hold any real power

Definitely the Wood Elves, of course, conquering all from Athel Loren!

Seriously, probably the Warriors of Chaos.

Chaos is a no-brainer. Just about everything is hinted to be chaos and the world/universe is already hanging by a thread.

Skaven is chaos (Horned rat is probably a daemon). Woc is chaos. Beastmen are chaos. Doc are chaos. CD are chaos (Hashut is a daemon).

I was just reading the Ogre comet was a warpstone comet--so it could even be a daemon. It made the Ogres perpetually hungry. And thus a lot more violent.

What Duke said. A lot of armies already are Chaos and other evil factions just work right in their hands, such as Skaven and O&G out there to kill everything.

Chaos wins. Once the dark elves and high elves finish bashing each other's faces in and the vortex collapses...

Orks and goblins are basically impossible to completely wipe out. While chaos could destroy the world, they wouldn't be able to completely destroy the greenskins. So I vote for the OnG

Yeah, infinite daemons travelling through time backed by malevolent gods spanning dimensions can't wipe out...goblins. I mean they aren't even outside Badlands much. Some dark lands, some empire.

How many are there? A million? Ten million? Let's say there's a billion. Daemons are immortal, all they got to do is kill one more a year than is being born and they will eventually wipe them out. If it takes one trillion years, it will still happen.

Daemons might well be immortal but their invasions always go like that:
-Yay, we're going south to kill and maim!
-Oh wait, they are slowing us down in battles, sieges and stuff
-I don't feel so well, might be this hea ... POOF
-Daemons go home

That's now. The first, original daemon incursion everyone was up to their eyeballs in daemons. When the HE thing is destroyed the Daemons can walk across whenever they want.

Like most people have said Chaos. Many of the WHFB are pure chaos or at least affiliated so I'm sure some sort of unsteady alliance easily has the capacity to overthrow the Warhammer world.

Daemons probably, the only other possible contender would be Vampires just on the pure logistics side, but they are way to fractured as a group to do anything significant, especially after Vlad's defeat and their whole bloodline thing.

Daemons are infinite vampires. Vampires can make zombies or even weaker Vampires. Daemons can make daemons and Daemon Princes. Halflings will take over the world before Vampires.

Skaven, clearly.

Enslave ALL of the races!

Skaven may be born of the warp, but they hold no love for chaos deamons, with the possible exception of the horned rat, which has never been outed as one but is clearly just telling everyone to ignore the man behind the curtain, and the Skaven are afraid to do anything but obey.

I don't think any ONE race would come out on top. I imagine (or like to) that the combined sense of purpose of High Elves, Lizardmen, and maybe some humans would bring order.

The unification wouldn't be made overnight, but i think it could be a thing

I really don't see anyone ruling.
Chaos has an issue with the utter destruction of creation, leaving nothing to rule. That and the infighting of different chaos gods becomes a larger problem as more immediate threats are taken out. Chaos may sweep the empire away, but I don't think they'd then keep it together long enough to go hit the high elves, the lizards and the tomb kings.

Beastmen I don't see doing all that well in Lustria or Khemrie.

Brettonians have been spanked in southlands.

Dwarves and Elves lack the population to do it.

Lizardmen lack the will to do it. Mazdamundi wants to put all the humans back into the empire, all the elves back in Ulthan, dwarves back into their ancestory homelands and so on. Pushing for isolationism works directly against world conquest.

Skaven, Orcs and Ogres all have serious issues with infighting. Without an immediate outside threat, they turn on themselves.

Tombkings and Vampires might go the distance with taking out humans, elves and lizards, but I don't see them knocking out O&G, the widespread ogre population or coming close to staving off daemons.

If you want to guess at who's most likely to kill us all, I'd put my money on Skaven or Vampires.
But if you want to know who will conquer and rule us, I think the answer is nobody.

Vampire counts, cause Nagash. Most powerful *living* entity in the warhammer world ( Mazamundi might be more powerful, but lacks the will and ambition + Kroak is dead, so I guess Nagash could raise him!) with a possible army of everything that has ever lived. Just to be sure though, when he strikes, he is hitting the Skaven first!

Tillicoutry, albion apparently

I think vampires and chaos would fight it out as they are realistically the only ones with enough resouces to do it.
Definitely not elves, men, lizards, dwarves, or ogres as they are just too few compared to the other races.
greenskins, skaven only have to numbers. Yes, they might be too numerous, but they will always be a annoyance than a problem to the others.

Eventually, undead would win. Out of all the Chaos gods, one is in it for the lols, two really don't care, and Khorne just wants to kill anything, and they are far more things to kill in the 40k universe
