About me :
Hello, I am Robbie. A painter from the east coast of the United States. While I don't own any models of my own I have been kept busy painting Malifaux miniatures for spare money. Mainly for local friends so far, but looking to expand my client base.

How to get your models painted and prices :
If you are looking to have work done by me feel free to send me a PM and we can work out everything through there.

Tabletop Quality - $15 per model
You get a model, fully painted and based with this. All main colors will be picked out and highlighted as well as some minor details to make the model visually appealing.

Above Tabletop Quality - $25 per model
Same as above, but with more details and smoother highlighting and shading.

"Hero" standard - 45$ per model
Same as above, with even more detail and better highlighting and shading. As well as dynamic bases and special effects and lighting.

Note : If I believe a model will look better with special effects than not, I will put them on regardless of what quality you want for no extra cost.

Another Note : I also have a bad habit of spending more time on models that are new to me and or just awesome looking sculpts. Those will usually end up looking better than planned regardless of what quality you want for no extra cost. Unless you don't want that, then you should specify before hand lol.

Actually, I am still pretty new to painting. I have just practiced different techniques until I hit a good balance of quality and speed. I plan on starting to paint models for contests soon though, just have to put in the extra time and effort.

But where are those Grim reaper models from?

You must've found the perfect balance between speed and quality, 'cuz those look awesome from this distance (camera focus distance) and I'm certain they'll look great from a tabletop view too!

Thanks, and they actually look way better in person. I am not very good at taking pictures.

As for speed and quality, what I charge is not bad either. I try to rival bigger companies like Blue table painting.

The Kingdom death model is fantastic, looks like you have really done the sculpt justice!

Nurgle Marine, at table top quality

Finished some more models today.

If that nurgle termi is only table top standard i´d better burn my army... Looks great!
And the green OSL on the grim reaper mini... damn I´m green with envy too

I am jealous you have a army, I have been waiting so long for new Sisters sculpts and plastics. I might die before that ever happens haha. I actually just now started to collect a army of my own. After 2 and a half years of painting stuff for people I have enough metal sisters to play some smaller points games. Kind of excited!

These are head and shoulders above tabletop quality, my friend. Your colors are smooth and vibrant, and very eye-catching, and you've got excellent details in each and every model.

Quite well-painted IMO, and I like the look!

I have had a lot of people tell me that. Also have a lot of people trying to get me to raise my prices. I guess I just have really high standards.

Also just finished these.



One thing that really bugs me though, is the models look a lot better in person than they do in pictures. Makes me wonder how the golden demon submissions look in person. If I ever plan on winning one I might need to practice more...

I think some models posted online are digitally enhanced. I've seen some pics posted here where it was blatantly obvious someone was tweaking the color saturation and doing other stuff. Nuff Said. Great painted models in photos always look better in person, and judging by your work here, I bet these look absolutely amazing on the table! Pat yourself on the back for your excellent paint jobs on these models. I really like them!

I have no painting advice to offer you, as you've got it down. You know how to paint. My only advice is to completely base each and every model, as that is the icing on the cake and what sells it. Some of these are very well painted, no, excellently painted, but the bases aren't done. The base on each and every model needs to be completely done to sell it.

Judging from what I've seen here, you can base these like a pro and make them look better than the box art. Base em up and sell them, and for good prices, too. Don't sell yourself short. This is top shelf work.

You're on the right track to set yourself as a commission painter, but you need fully based models to sell them. Get you some Army Painter pre-made flocking, the ones with weeds and such that are already made, they're cheap, 6-7 bucks? Glue them on, maybe some tea leaves, and miscellaneous bits. These are the details that sell the models.

The ones that are not based are because the guy paying me asked for me to not base them. I don't think he is sure what kind of theme he wants them to be yet.

Haven't updated this in awhile. Time to bump with some commissions I just finished this past week along with a older one I have no posted in here yet.

Your "tabletop" standard is through the roof, both in quality and price, but it looks just amazing!

Thanks for the kind words! I try and give costumers a good quality for the price.

I see so many studios out there that do half assed work and it bothers me a good bit. What bothers me the most is the fact they charge what I do for that work.
