I have an MDF paint station and there are two things I really miss:

1. better paint brush storage. It has tons of small holes but most of them are so big that the brushes lean to one side and I always snag them when trying to pick something up. As many single-brush holes as possible with a few quite big ones for things like hobby knives would be preferable to me personally. I also LOVE the little horizontal brush rack in the front of your design, that's much preferable to holes and in fact I would like to see even more of those.

2. Minis-in-progress shelves. Dedicated space for say a regiment of 10 models so you can keep them within reach while you're working on one at a time.

here is my current setup

Hmmm. Whilst it's pretty much impossible to give everyone everything they want, maybe this will work?

I use the similar sized drawers on my paint rack to store tubes of paint, in particular AK Interactive true metals, so they do have some use for some people.

If the ship is 28/32 mm I'm in. I've been hoping for something like this for a long time. I'm not into SF but this will get me into it. I've been looking for ships that you can play in. This is it. Please make bigger ships.

Regarding the paint bottle issue, I'd make use of the lovely paint racks you already make. Either make the existing racks slot into the work station, or don't worry about it at all. Who says you need one structure to hold absolutely everything?

Whee. I'm making a thing.

I think I have most of the bugs ironed out of the Peregrine, and am starting a proper build.

As is the tradition with models of things that fly, one should start with the cockpit. Now, it has to be admitted that this is many levels of insanity and ligiterately bazillions of tiny, tiny pieces. Never fear, there WILL be a simpler version for wusses and the less adventurous.

Here are the parts, all nice and rendered in sketchup.

...and the alternate, slightly sadder, simple version.

...which I'm sure will be adequate for the majority of you.

and the parts assembled, IRL.

Assembled using a good quality PVA/white glue. You may notice some parts are darker than others, this is because I've put a drop or two of thin superglue on the more fragile components to reinforce them a bit. Also, the main parts are not glued in place yet to facilitate easier painting. Which I'm kinda looking forward to.

Mousemuffins... when will you guys be letting us commoners order one of these amazing ships for ourselves? This ship is, without a doubt, the coolest piece of terrain I've ever seen. I want it SO BADLY.

Painting painting. Still needs LOADS of clean-up, but it's amazing what you can achieve after an extraction and a root-canal.

Loving the interior, my question though is how much of that can be seen after final assembly?

Looks like a fair bit will be visible based on the render. Would depend on if you go with clear glazing for the cockpit though.

Ship looks awesome. Literally waiting on it's release to place an order.

The water cup holder could have a sliding holder fence that's secured with a screw, so you can get a relatively snug fit with any cup, at least in one direction.

In similar fashion, adjustable fences might work nicely for paint bottles etc.

The cockpit roof it'self isn't designed to lift off, but the windows are large and everything is visible. There no space in there to put figures though, unless you are an enthusiastic converter or sculptor. The Hull roof Does lift off, however.

ETA on release is, well, as soon as we can, but I expect it will be about Christmas.

At the moment it's looking like four kits. The Peregrine Y2K itself, An interior set (simple), an interior set (advanced) and exterior set (for all the paneling, fancy undercarriage, engine baffles and wotnot.

This is pure RPG gold for sci-fi folks.

Any chance of doing pre-orders, and any idea about pricing?

All right, I know that I'm threatening threadromancy here, but I've heard Mousemuffins has been working to expand his range and volume of production, so I figured this might be an opportune time to bring these up.

1) I'm wondering if anyone who has CNC's Tactical Response Vehicle has any pics comparing it size-wise to a Space Marine Rhino. I've looked around and haven't been able to find any.

2) Did the up-armoured and up-sized versions of the TRV just not get to production because there wasn't enough market for it?

3) The MkII Transporter is an awesome model. Has there been any thought of producing larger versions? You know like, one that might be able to carry a giant robot? Or a larger one designed for ship-boarding actions? You know, just thinking that with certain box sets being mass produced, there may be a market for a greater variety of Transporter models.
