Alright I really tried I did
I was wondering the amount of Grey Knights by breakdown of type of Grey Knight.
I know that their are about 20 Paladins... but I am unsure of everything else...
Paladins = 20
Terminators = ?
Purifiers = ?
Interceptors = ?
Strike Squads = ?
Thats all I really need - I already have the 20 Paladins (I hope that is all there is) and I still haven't spent my taxes and the fiancee gave me the go ahead to buy a gak ton of forces. I was thinking an entire Purifier force haha!
Thanks for the help!

Yes - but I wanted to know specifically how many of each type of grey knight there was... for example there are X amount of purifiers in that 1000 grey knights... so on and so forth

I'd say roughly 40 purifiers and a proportionally greater number of Terminators than most other chapters, so over a hundred of those, after which you'd follow a relatively similar ratio of Strike Squads to Interceptor and Purgation squads that normal chapters have with the Tactical to Assault/Devastator squad groupings.
And of course no scouts so you can free up some space.

I thought the said specifically that there is 40 purifiers. And I don't think you can put a solid number on how many termies. I thought they had enough suits for everyone to wear one. Not sure though.

Thanks - I saw that GW Apocalypse formation (the 50 Purifiers and Crowe) and got a mad idea.... although I would never buy it form GW since they didn't discount it
Thanks guys.
P.S. Scary as thought that they would have terminator suits for everyone.... 1000 terminators deep striking down... 0_0

Valuable tip! Fluff is fluff in 40k. You can pick the number! Whilst they claim 1000, no fluff is entirely true nor entirely false. Select the 3000 if you wish (that is what I do at least xD)

There are roughly 1000 Battlebrothers.
8 Brotherhoods (companies) each with 10 squads of 10. How they are fielded is at the discretion of the Captain (Strike, Interceptor, Purgation, Terninator)
So that's 800
8 Captains and 8 Grand Masters, and 8 Brotherhood Champions is 824
There is a variance of Paladins but the is one squad per GM. So that's ~40 so 864
Purifiers can vary as well so I put them at 40ish. So there's 1004.
Plus the Librarians, Techmarines, Chaplains, drivers and other personel

According to lexicanum they have enough suits of Terminator armor to cover the entire chapter. Seems a bit high to me considering how prized those suits are around regular chapters.

You have to remember they are a specialized chapter so some of those "rules" don't count for the grey knight chapter.

The Steel Confessors, Minotaurs, and Grey Knights are all pet chapters of high ranking organizations (the AdMech, Adeptus Terra, and Inquisition) and so would logically be given the finest equipment right off the forge.

Not just Lexicanum - it's stated in the Codex. Hell, going back to 2nd edition the Grey Knights *only* deployed in Termie armour.
It's not too difficult to imagine that they may well still have the STC and means besides to continue creating the suits, and not have to share that information with the rest of the Imperium. I'm not sure *why* they would do that, though.

There is no TDA STC. Nor is there a PA STC.
TDA was invented by the Ad Mech shortly before the HH. PA is based on an STC for a powered suit, but the PA of today is far superior to what was originally in the STC. Which was not a sealed suit, it was only powered servos and armor. No other frills that have since been added.
The GKs simply have more TDA than anybody else.
According to the GK codex, each Brotherhood has around 40 suits of TDA. The other members of the Brotherhood deploy as either Strike, Purgation, or Interceptor Squads based on the need.
The Purifiers and Paladins are their own Brotherhoods. There is rarely more than 40ish purifiers at any one time. Both Brotherhoods have their own means of recruitment so their numbers are not fixed. To be a Paladin, you have to pass the trials. To be a Purifier, I assume that you have to have some specific psychic and mental qualities that you either have or you don't.

You added an extra 100: 864 plus 40 is 904, not 1004.

Well colour me surprised! You're right!
So I guess the auxiliary leaders must take it up to 1000.
So
800 in the Standard Brotherhoods (800)
40ish Purifiers (840)
40ish Paladins (880)
8 Brotherhood Champions (888)
8 Brother-Captains (896)
8 Grand Masters (904)
CHapter Lord (905)
Aproximately 95 Marines made from Librarians, Chaplains, Techmarines and Vehicle Divers and Pilots (1000)

This is just my perspective, starting from the third edition Grey Knights book, but it seems to me that sticking them in a book with auxillary Stormtroopers representing an Inquisitor's private army made more sense than trying to claim that a thousand Grey Knights somehow manage the entire military force required by all three ordos of the Inquisition that they don't induct from other sources where the old books gave them three thousand Grey Knights, tens of thousands of Sisters of Battle, unknown numbers of Deathwatch Space Marines, and the Emperor only knows how many Stormtroopers running around to do their bidding; I'm fine with most of the rules changes, but I'd rather have seen an expanded Inquisitorial Stormtroopers section of the army rather than more and more elite specialist Grey Knights that merely kill stuff within 24" even deader than the last batch of elite specialist Grey Knights.
