Subject: 28mm Urban Terrain - sources?

I now have the beginnings of a generic 'Arab' / Middle-Eastern village now thanks to some Ebay buildings and palm trees. I also found a small UK website that offered a limited amount of resin walls and sandbags so I have some of those. What I need now is the urban clutter to add to it, so things like dumpsters, skips, piles of rubbish, bin bags, that sort of thing and I am struggling to find decent sources for it at 28mm scale. I plan to get hold of some Matchbox cars and distress them, problem is I am not sure if my local Toys R Us will have the Matchbox cars I need - I am after really old, crappy model cars like old vans, ropey old Ladas and what-not. Anyone got any advice/suggestions as to sites that sell this clutter? The only one I have found is S & S models, however, their site is almost incomprehensible to navigate and even after requesting the PDFs of their stock and prices, I still can't find what I need, although I am sure they do it. I just wish they wouldn't use such a Byzantine method of listing and displaying their wares.

Hello,
I have had good luck with 1/48 scale toys.
They scale right up to our 40k figs and they are cheap.
I go to a site in the us called 3000toys.com
run a search for 1/48 toys.
New Ray and BBurago make the largest variety at the best prices.
Good luck!!

Well I got the model cars and they more or less fit the scale - close enough for government work at any rate. What I need now is the urban detritus, namely, skips, dumpsters, rubbish piles etc. I'm sure I found a site selling model dumpsters and skips but I can't for the life of me find it now.

N Scale is closer to like 6mm or 10mm as referenced by the Dropzone Commander comment in the first sentence I'd suggest checking out Rust Forge, which is co-owned by Dakka's own Shepherd23 He does plastic injected Shippping containers and 28mm Hesco Barriers/Bastion (Spoilered for big)

They're very handsome kits - $42 shipping to me kills that though!
@ Filbert - you're welcome.

Try Gamecraft Miniatures. I have some of their 20mm terrain, and its great. Looks good, IMO, and is at the right price.

You could always PM Shepherd23, and see if he can get a better quote on shipping. I know that OTL will do that for international buyers because their automated shipping calculator is dumb

Its hard to be awesome, when your playing with little plastic men.
Welcome to Fantasy 40k
If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.
Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.
