Tyrant Guard, Warriors, Primes, and Shrikes all can.

Not only that...they can take 2 swords for extra instant death.

Actually Nids were the first to have the super creature in the form of the Tervigon/Tyrannofex. It was the first model to be on the large oval base.

I think they have enough cool stuff in their codex, they just need it to be made relevant and useful.

Oh how the mighty are forgotten.

Trygon/Mawloc.

Also, the Dreadknight beat the Tervigon to release.

shoots the closest enemy model like the spore pod. 3 wounds T7 BS2. Anytime during the movement phase roll a D6 on a 3+ spawn 2d6 harmogants, they act normally after this

Must bring 1 unit of harmos to purchase this unit. Points = whatever makes these rules seem balanced.

isn't that just a mystetic spore?

Do mystetic spores spawn harmos?

No, but they do everything else.

I wouldnt mind seeing one more Superheavy for the Nids, maybe a plastic Harridan (to fir the current flyer themes going on) or a Baneblade sized model, a mini Hierophant or something.

But would agree that a revamp of the current rules for their MCs would be welcome too, cant recall the last time I saw a Tyrannofex used.

I don't want another Gargantuan, because it severely limits when they can be used. I want another dual kit MC, because as a regular codex unit I'll be able to use it any game. Even a huge kit like the Wraithknight - as long as they keep it as an MC so it's useable in normal games.

I want something good. I want something fun and flavorful with many builds like daemons or Tau. I don't want something ridiculous and over the top like space wolves when they came out, GK when they came out, Cronair, or the new Eldar codex where you can roll a dice and take random units and still beat a lot of people without much thought.

Give me something good, not something broken.

Errrrr... Whut?

Anyway, on topic, I agree 100% with -Loki-, his ideas would really fit the tyranid fluff and aesthetic as it stands. With 'nids, make it less Pacific Rim-esque and make it more about the meat-grinder that the Hive Mind is.
