Grats on a new place, are you going to have the opportunity to make your gaming area to your specifications?

Congrats on the new place. Just remember to carefully label all the boxes. I know it seems obvious, but I can say from firsthand experience that, well, forgetting is possible.

Now, tell us all you got a place like this I've always thought it would be cool to build a Scottish tower house.

where labelling boxes is concerned... i suggest doing this on the upper side and two sides as well... so that no matter where you later on store the boxes you still are able to read out the contents...

Not where I should be

Thank you all for your thoughts.

So, moved at last, been a very busy few weeks. Work and moving and life meaning little time for toys, sorry I have not been around as much, but I have popped in here and there.

Well finally got to do something today, just about related to subject. My new workshop. Well just about. Our new house is nice and big, by our standards, meaning a large kitchen diner, with enough room for the family. So the lounge became a store room for everything else, then my beloved turns around and says, well you might as well have the front half of the lounge for your modelling!....So with the rest of the house getting there I decided today was the day to start in at making the lounge my zone. Half (the smaller half) will eventually have a sofa and TV etc.but it is a big room (by British standards) 6m (18ft) x 4m (12ft) approx. I figure I can have a modelling station and a separate painting station, plenty of storage and even fit in a game table.

Well pics or it didn't happen...

Modelling station...

Painting station still needs sorting out..

Storage...

Bit of room for more plastic I recon, still got a lot of boxes to go through though...

Yes those are all full of models to be made and painted.

It's all a bit rough at the moment, but we are in no rush for this room to be tidy, so I can take time later to tidy it all up and give the room a lick of paint.

My better half is happy enough the kitchen dinner is just as big as the lounge, so there is room for it to be a family room.

Lastly fitted a holder to the side of my modelling desk to hold my soldering iron and glue gun...

Thank you all again for your support, normal service will resume soon ish...and I am looking forward to seriously motoring on with projects in this new space.

Congratulations, Cam. I hope that the family is happily and comfortably settling in. It always takes a special energy to unpack everything.

Now Vik, only we Americans are silly enough to actually move farther away from the workplace.

Ooh, good idea, a housewarming present of sorts. How about some RT era Orc stuff, Cam? I'm certain I still have some lying around. PM me if interested. It won't be plastic though.

Not where I should be

Thanks guys.

If you follow my other blog "orkishness" then you will know I am starting to get going again, plowing through a couple projects.

Well this one is definitely not Orky so it better go here.

Camo Marines are back, been wanting to do this for ages.

So the story goes, my Ultramarines use Camo if necessary (scream if you like ) And I am also going to truescale the vehicles a bit, maybe even some of the marines. Did a truescale LR a while back scratch built. Well I bought a couple of OneManNoodles Not-Rhino's, they where seconds and had a couple bits missing, but that is no bother to me, they are brilliant models well designed and near to the normal rhino size, this is a problem for me though. So I have this idea, Scouts need transport too, so how about a couple razorbacks to transport the boys give them a bit of fire support. They would be a smaller more agile model than the normal rhino my marines will transport around in, something to get around the narrow streets or jungle terrain. So here we go, enough rambling on...

This is what it looked like this morning, before I started to paint, this was not even built at 8am today, scratched together the twin linked Las and added a few details, knocked up a tail gate...

Very happy myself with the end result, OMN's bits are excellent..

And with big brother and marine for a bit of scaling.

Your thoughts please, good and bad are all welcome.

Nice. I really like that camo scheme Cam. It's obvious but not over the top. Very believable.

Great work Cam'. I can't even basecoat a model in that time.
