I'm thinking castle up and maybe put the land raider into reserve - I would take Belial with a TH/SS ... but since he already has Iron Halo and T5 from the Knights I dont think it should be an issue taking DLC's over TH/SS, and he gets to attack on initiative and shred some boyz.

More missles less auto cannons more th/as and add a th/as to Belial(adds that str 8 hit so you don't have to smite as soon you hit a high toughness unit) other than that list looks solid

assault cannons (rending) are there for AV 14 threat if he takes battle wagons or to shred kanz

if the terminators make it into combat with orkz and need the TH/SS the game has already gone wrong - and sadly all my TH/SS guys are being used for Deathwing Knights (opponent is fine with it)

.... is the STR 8 really a better trade-off than striking at initiative & +1 attack when hes in a unit of deathwing knights giving him 5+ toughness?

Understand on the autocannons, IMO the 3+ is better the whole point is the str 8. You could assault anything and not need to smite to kill it smite would be used for tougher targets

Are you expecting mega armor nobs, if so, maybe a chaplain with the knights will be useful for the turn of admitting to make sure you are fully effective on the assault.

And it'll be generally useful for maximizing any assault damage.

Na there shouldnt be any armored mega nobs ... i thought about adding a tda libby with divination or a tda chaplain, but to do that i have to drop the fortitude banner and i'm not sure if its worth losing feel no pain

I'm thinking just with Orkz the LC would be better, only a few models are above Toughness 4 the ones being Toughness 5 are HQ's, Bikes, Deffchopters ... and if the unit hits something with it in there they can smite mode and precise strikes instant death HQ's. Against other armies it would be different .... the Belial / Knight unit is really there to screen for the Tactical Deathwing Squads (more than likely assaulting boyz or bikes).

The unit is not intended to be a deathstar but bubble wrap.

Actually looking at the three weapon options, the sword might come out better than the LC's ..... not sure though

Sword & Storm Bolter - 3 S4 Melee Attacks, Master-Crated, Fleshbane, Striking at Int & 2 Ranged S4 precise shots, 4+ Invu Save

Dual Lighting Claws - 4 S4 Melee Attacks, Shred, Striking at Int, 4+ Inuv Save

Thunderhammer & Storm Shield - 3 S8 Melee Attacks, Concussive, Striking at Int 1, 3+ Inuv Save


Between the Sword & Lighting Claws - the storm bolter and extra attack would even out (maybe in the LC
s favor slighly) - fleshbane and shred would even out (maybe in the Sword's favor) - so I guess the sword is mastercrafted over the claws ... but i'm not sure how clutch the 1 reroll per round is.

I am kind of thinking about dropping one of the terminator squads for 2 Dreadnoughts MM / DCCW with HF .... I would lose a scoring unit but the dreads could be pretty useful
