Small update today but I did get some riviting done on the steamer.... as its a steam punk idea this is going to be covered but I have made a start.... got my parts from Ramshackle arriving early next week so will get this finished....
Decided I am going for a quad track with this tank..... 2 smaller drive tracks at the back attached to the fly wheel from the boiler and then larger tracks at the front. Canvas mud guards and the ramshackle parts and its all goodd to go!
Wee pic of the rivets so far.....
CHeers all,

Lone Cat I have never seen that tank before actually.... but I like it! Definitely some similarities and things I want to add to my own tank! Thanks for sharing!
Actually... maybe I should just stick a propeller on the back of it and make one of these......
I like that it starts as a older design the American Army tried in 1919, it did not get accepted due to some problems, and we went with bigger machines
And this model is BIG. I can tell by the Predator/Razorback piece on top!

That's a Vickers Mk 2 medium, visit the tank museum in Bovington some time, some of the interwar tanks were really mad (he types before realising there is a sign by it... and it's in Bovington).
I see you opted for the "pearl white" nail beads, fancy, just try and remember that it's not a cake this time. Good to see a new tank in the works.

Thanks everyone for the comments! Appreciate them all.
Got my supply drop from Ramshackle this weekend..... Got some really cool bits & pieces for the steam tank as the aesthetic of their parts fits really well with what I want to do with this project.
Managed to get the rivets finished this evening and I have mocked up some of the Ramshackle parts for the steamer... still got the tracks to finosh too..... as I said before its going to be 2 front and 2 rear drive tracks.
Hope you like it but as always any c&c is welcome!
i´ve been quietly watching your progress here...and apreciating every minute... especially if you are making such nice metal beasts... she´s a true heavy beauty!
only downside is that your pics aren´t zoomable...
Making it a quad tread is a good way to go with the hull shape! Looks good!

Hey there sneaky Vik! thanks very much..... yeh.. actually for a fairly square hull I think its looking good!
Sory about the pics.. they are on my tablet.. not got the best camera. I will use my wife's SLR for the final pics..

I can't wait to see this thing finished.
thanks my friend! .... this was initially meant to be tracked at the front and then wheeled at the back... but I think the design lends itself well to quad track..... I will get the other track units made up and then get some pics wth all 4 together and see what it looks like then .... thanks for looking in!

Thanks mate! Yeh.. I think it lends itself well to the quad track! The 2 at the rear will be closer together than the 2 at the front which will give it a nice balance I think!
Thanks all for the comments! got some vents, hooks and other small details to add... finish the tracks and then she is ready for paint....
But... next up I have a lot of riveting and detailing to do on the LoER comp....
Damn you and your hawk eyes! haha.. yes indeed it is... its going to be against the generator in the finished piece so you wont really see it.. just needed something to finish that end off with!

Been running on a 0 budget for the last while so not able for paint or anything yet... so I thought, why not start another project......
This time its going to be a little IG scout tank .. similar to the centaur. I am using some bits from ramshackle & blood&skulls and just throwing it together..... with PVA glue as have no superglue...... anyway.... just a quick wip pic amd then one beside the steam tank.....
Had a bit of good RL work news though so hopefully when pay time comes around I will have fumds to get the desperately needed glue amd some new paints.....

Cheers all....
About the machinegun thing mounted in frontal hardpoints. does it has a function of Heavy bolter? and which boxset of ork units does this 'shoota MG' comes from?
Well..... I had a wee spare hour amd was bored..... so decided to put together a little piece to practice my painting skills on!
Used a spare 30mm base and have put together a wee IG "objective marker" a little mech drop with cogs cables and some other goodies the forces of the emperor would do well to get their hands on to help their war efforts!
Like I said... using it to test out my paint scheme for the LoER comp but thats no reason for it not to be a cool wee piece.... IMHO !
Cheers all,
Ps... not sure if these are zoomable pics... I will sort it for the painted shots.

Blood & Skulls vehicle mod looks like a Chimera based hull changer. Interesting.

Well.... I did some PAINTING!?!?!! Well... I say painting.... I only had red paint..... the rest is pigment... dirt... graphite... coffee & some rust..
Not a paint brush in sight.... just a kebab skewer & a wee bit sponge... I got the majority of the work done on the little "objective marker"... Going to let it dry and maybe highlight the metals of the cogs and parts a little to make them stand out a bit more.....
This is the basis for the aint scheme I am looking to use for the LoER comp so would be cool to get some comments...
Actually..... as it is drying further.... the rust is becoming more and more prominent and strong.... think I will tone that back a little.... lol!
Well Well.... here we are again... coffee.. late lunch & thinking about my next moves with.....
WARNING>>>> What follows is a mental splurge..... or brain fart if you will...
Spoiler:
Currently I am sitting with a few dilemma's regarding the hobby.... I am starting to find I am building "things" for the sake of building them and not really investing in the time and effort to properly plan and see the works through to the end... or indeed to build something that I actually want to display....... I guess this is for 2 reasons.... firstly.... I have 0 money to be spending.... so am just trying to do "something" with what I have.... second... really enjoy this blog and the crew here who comment etc..... so I guess I feel if I am not posting then I am missing out and not being productive....
So.. while I have not a whole lot to do until I manage to get some paint and glue... I am going to streamline my workload and try to get back to the bones of why I started doing this in the first place... To build "a few" cool models that I can paint and display!!
The pieces I have and I DO want to have and finish.....
That's it..... everything else for the moment will be scrapped and recycled for parts.....
I really want to focus on these 4 pieces and make them to the best of my abilities.... and try not to get too side tracked as I have done previously... the small objective marker I posted previously is a good example.... sure it only took about an hour to put together... and a couple of hours painting.... but I don't have any use for it....
Only once all 4 of these items have been completed will I then go on and think of more to do..... Except of course the next LoER comp... I might make an exception...
Thanks those of you who read this waffle.... just needed to get it out of my head and written down.... lol....
AAAhhhhh that fees better.... And.. while I was writing that I have had a thought about the LoER comp... so hopefully I will get some more time on that this evening.... lol...
This "use" you're referring to...I think the cake is a lie...honestly I make stuff as if I am possessed, meaning when I go into creative mode, then I often have little idea of and if I reach a point where objectively one could call it finished. Using anything apart from having an aestheticaly good looking piece is my sole positive outcome. Of course every little project adds to the learning curve...and I think that is the heart and soul of the hobby, constantly trying to get better and having funwhile doing it...zero funds is a major drawback I know that road quite well...if you need specific help...don't hesitate to drop me a pm...there's always a way!
