Anyone done it? I realize corridors and rooms would change the dynamic, but it seems like it could be quite fun. I am ramping up to build my first Infinity board and I am trying to decide between what everyone else does, or making my own version of the Forgeworld space hulk board that has the modular corridor system. Alternatively I was looking at making a modular board that revolved around rooms and corridors of various sizes.
What do you guys think, is it any fun playing Infinity in this way?

I'd love to give it a shot, but then anything that gets my claymores closer to the enemy would probably get my vote of approval. I'm sure some things would become quite imbalanced though, but with a good group I think it'd be great fun.

Depending on the complexity of the board, I think it's doable. It'll practically nerf a lot of units though so both sides should be aware of that. I'm looking at you, snipers. And there needs to be some scatter terrain, or else it's very easy to guard corridors with suppression fire.
It would be fun to play it like an Installation level on Starcraft. I think with Warmill's MOD.CO.N. this is very possible. http://www.warmill.co.uk/MODCON/cat814919_1726745.aspx

The Infinity version of this are the so-called "Boarding Action" missions.
One official mission in this vein has been released by the company. Automatically Appended Next Post: Hmm, I thought that this scenario had more corridors etc. It seems my group has made some house rules.

I've done this. I made a load of mdf walls that was originally intended to just break up fire lanes but I then went a bit over board and made 30ft worth of solid walls!
The close corridor style games do work very well and add a nice mix to the game styles. HOWEVER, they are tough!
We found that without enough doors and route options the "defender" has a huge advantage if he can set up his fire lanes as the "attacker" advances through the doors and corridors. It's tough not get funnelled and pinned down by a few snipers while the rest of the army moves in to take positions.
It's well worth a go but you need to prepare the battlefield and the scenerio a bit more carefully so that one player (usually the attacker) doesnt get pinned down too easily.
I've not seen the rules mentioned above so I'm going to take a peek at those now!

I'm thinking of using my "Descent" corridors to make a Spacehulk type board. Just need to convince someone to help me try it out

I'm making up a 3D ship interior type layout (I'm 3Ding the Sedition wars tiles and adding corridor sections) but there are walls and crates and scatter throughout that I'm also adding to them.
The terrain will be stackable (corridors will be 3-4" wide, so remotes and even the "special needs" TAG can fit down them - and I'm PSing up a cargo bay tile as well, so there are at least two areas it can get into).

I've used the Space Hulk corridors for games several times. It's great, and a nice alternative. Just make sure you both build your lists to the mission, as normal shooty lists don't do enough.
Must say that warbands become way powerful for their points in that setting- you might want to change the AVA of chainrifle troops under 20 points. My Kuang Shi were a holy terror on Hulk boards.
There was a mission from some folks in Exeter, part of a tournament pack that they did (NUSU, Nut Up or Shut Up). Actually all the missions were great and very terrain-specific, but the rulespacks seem to have disappeared from their site. I'll attach the file here for your benefit.
Credit to the Exeter Inquisition, of course- thanks guys!

Yup, Infinity is really carefully balanced for a certain range, and at close combat, chain rifle or flamer armies get way too much of an advantage. This is particularly true for some factions who can use more cainrifles than others.
For example, any PanO other than Neoterran Auxilla based ones, or possibly an MO linked Magister Knight list(due to Hyper-Dynamics) would be absolutely doomed in such a setting against Yu Jing or adriana. No tactics involved, simply bring as many warbands and cheap chain rifles as you can, and suicide run them at people. You WILL win by simple attrition. Even if you get second turn, with halfway decent deployment you can just kill them via AROs. It really does not work due to the way templates work.

There was a suggestion of limiting the availability of chain rifles. Maybe write into the scenario that chain rifles cannot be used in the corridors because they are too indescriminate and would damage the facility too much. Given that infinity is partially about covert operations I feel that chain rifles don't fit and wouldn't be used in that type of operation. If I was writing the sepcenario it would be light and medium infantry only, only regular units, no infiltration etc. don't have time to put all my idea down right now but I've got a few

I was thinking of making a board like this.. perhaps the internals of one of the Nomad ships. Not Space Hulk narrow corridors, but perhaps the Warmill terrain for wider 'Aliens' style corridors.
As others have said though the rules would need some modification. Think it would certainly be fun though!

That's because I had to redo the whole site from scratch about a year ago when the club became active again, and a lot of stuff never got copied across...
The Infinihulk rules grew out of the rules put together for the NUSU2 tournament.
