You thought about doing a different group of vehicles per company? That's what I'm doing for my Ultramarine Chapter:

1st Company - All Terminator, deep striking, so none needed
2nd Company - mix of Sternguard, Vanguard, in thunderhawks, storm ravens, storm talons
3rd Company - tactical in Land Raiders
4rd Company - tactical in Drop pod
5th Company - tactical in Rhinos
6th Company - tactical on foot
7th Company - all assault so jetpacks
8th Company - bikes & land speeders
9th Company - Devs in Razorbacks
10th Company - Scouts on foot, storms, bikes

I'm about 60% through collecting my chapter, need to tot it up as I haven't counted the full count in years.

Very cool, would love to see a pic of that. Although, Sternguard and Vanguard veterans should be 1st Company, if they're Ultramarines.

I already have about a hundred terminators without any of the FW HH Termies that I really really want so I can't fit in the 70 or so Vets I already have (planning on building another 30 vets and the FW Termies with the new codex) in the 100 per Company rules from Guilliman's Codex Astartes so they get demoted to the 2nd Company. Plus I don't really want an endless supply of Tactical Marines that 5 Companies of 60 Tactical Marines would give me. Once I've built and painted the new stuff (its all painted to a basic tabletop standard) I'll start my own thread as that'll mark a major milestone for me.

That's pretty epic... Can't wait to see

Good luck on your Chapter. I decided when I started playing that I wanna do the same thing. Then I want to host an Apoc game and field my chapter against who ever. Good luck and I am so glad to see I am not the only one with high hopes and dreams!!!

I love the fluff! If you put that much time into the fluff, then I can not wait to see your forces displayed. Just remember, Squads are best done on a squad by squad basis. Its affordable as well as easier to work on the models that way.

I'm not too worried about the cost portion, I already have enough marines and bits to build over a full company. It's the time that gets me. LOL The good thing about the fluff and design stuff is that I can work on it during the day during breaks at work.
