Thanks for the positive feedback guys!
Here's another update.
I made some burnas for my kommandos. The heads come from GW, Spellcrow, and Kromlech. Very fine products those.
And Meks 4 and 5 (of 9 I intend to make in total). Not huge conversions, at least on the first one, but I repositioned the kustom mega blasta arm and added a handle for the second one. Also, a different backpack.
this is my favorite and most ridiculous sword:
A few close ups of the arm join. There's the tiniest, slightest of gaps created by the length of the pin I used, but once the paint goes on the model it won't be noticeable.
And a close up of the handle on the gun.
Mek buddies together.
There's also ridiculously minute modifications on all the kustom mega blastas, because uniformity is for suckahs!
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

More work done. I made a bunch more Kommandos. I used some 3rd party ork bodies for these kommandos. I can't remember if they are Kromlech, Spellcrow, or Puppetswar products, but they're called "fatty bodies". I think "shirtless bodies" would be more appropriate, but I'm not in charge of naming products that I buy. Anyway, the bodies don't mesh perfectly with the GW arms, so I hid most of the joins with shoulder plates (and iron gobs on one model because they within reach and I was too lazy to going searching through my bits for more shoulder pads).
Here are the boys all together:
And here individually:
Axe-silencer, the quiet killer.
Illustrating the nakedness of the body and those plucky shoulder pads:
These Kromlech heads have a raised eagle icon on the helmet that I have to painstakingly shave off with my exacto every time.
I think this head is from Spellcrow. All my Kommandos get "gasmask" or "rebreather" or "face-covered-up" heads, if you haven't noticed the trend yet.
Iron gob shoulder pads:
I shave off the rivets from all my weapons for use later on my vehicles, and given my neuropathic need to have hundreds of individual orks, I modified this boy's choppa.
Same with this boy's choppa:
More shoulder pads.
And face coverings:
And where did this ork get a belly button from? Orks are spawned from mushrooms! So I choose to believe this is an old bullet scar...
And here's what they look like without shoulder pads (I got lazy with the last boy)
And here's the last boy, who is just a relatively regular build with a rokkit launcher. I didn't bother with a blast plate because he's wearing a mask. He'll be fine, it's just rokkit back blast. I call this boy "Krokkit". He even has a "bayonet".
Here's Krokkit's bayonet:
More stuff up tomorrow. Thanks for looking!

Today I found a bunch of bodies I thought I had lost and I have stretch of time that should let me finish a ton of models. I hope to get my Savage Sluggas done, maybe my Piratey Shootas, and a bunch more Burnas. We'll see. I want to get back to my vehicles, namely the buggies I barely started about a year ago. Hmmm. Updates soon. Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh, yeah! I also need to start on my Flashgitz! I set aside 8 nobz and plan on converting kombi shootas to the task of Snazguns. I'll have to take pictures of my progress as I go.

Thanks to Dr H for making this update possible.
I assembled "Joe typical" ork driver (of which I have like a dozen) and modified the base where the pedals go before test fitting him to the chassis.
You'll also notice the blue marker I used to indicate where the peg holes needed to be drilled on the chassis.
And here's my "action shots" of me using my "hand drill" to drill the holes for the pins.
Using my "hand drill is really quite painful. I'm hoping I develop a callous on my index finger kinda soon. Here are the pins themselves. These actually turned out to be more of a hinderance than a help and I had to clip them down kinda far.
Using strips of styrene, plastic lolipop straws, and glue I eventually glued the driver in place in a satisfying way (i.e. covered up my mistakes).
I went to a local shop where I get a lot of my supplies (they sell all kinds of model kits, model railroad accessories, and RC stuff, plus styrene, detail bits, books, etc) and found this little gem for super cheap.
On a whim I built the engine which, by the way, the picture on the cover, the pictures in the instructions, and the actual engine itself were all different.
And then attempted to test fit the engine to the buggy.
Turns out it was way too big for this build. I'll save it for another project. Oh well. The black backing plate behind the driver is actually the chassis of the Zinger Super Dune, suitably chopped down and cleaned up (the model parts had a LOT of flash). Then I glued the driver's arms on and built a steering column. The black part of the column is actually a bit of sprue from the Zinger kit.
This picture illustrates how misaligned everything seems to be. The driver I guess is made to be off center because he's the Trukk driver?
Then I decided to make up some details and threw this together on the bottom.
And that's what I got so far. I'm hoping to cover up the sides of the driver with plating or some such and now I have to figure out what to do with the front. I'm thinking I should put the engine on the back, behind the driver and then put a platform on top of that with a gunner. Thoughts?
Anyway, thanks for looking. C&C always welcome. Have a great day!

Number one get a pin vice man!!!!
Number two....Brilliant work. Driver looks brilliant. Whole thing looks great. Engines are never too big BTW, stick it on behind the driver it will be fine. Mount a grot with a silly huge gun on the front and your a winner.
Excellent work, all round. Will you use the fenders from the buggy kit on it or leave it exposed?

I have a pin vice. I'm just too lazy to keep changing out the bits. Doing it by hand is less time consuming. I intend to use the super sized engine on a different build. I'll scratch build this buggy's engine. No big deal. I was thinking of making fenders for this buggy and using the sloping hood from the super dune in some capacity. I need practice with making rounded parts.

I know! Isn't that the stupidest thing? What's the point of having an air induction scoop if it's facing away from all the air?
Nice work. Like the gearbox/axle addition.
