I started work on the front grill using this template.
Then I promptly lost it. Completely gone, fell on the floor, nowhere to be found. So I started again with 2 pieces of plasticard.
Added rods for the grill plate (which, by the way were somehow so difficult to place) and a top ridge line.
Then a bottom ridge and started wrapping it with more plastic sheeting. This is as far as I've gotten.
Thanks for looking!

A few missed days never hurt anyone! The grill looks cool, it gives me a real 20th century american car vibe off it. If you could get some fine mesh, the radiator behind the grill would be cool.

Hmmm, wire mesh you say? I may have to look into that. Cool idea, Tyranid Horde! Thanks.

Might not be totally useful, but the mesh screens you get for smoking pipes might fit between the grooves nicely? They're cheap enough too. Realising now I should have mentioned what wire mesh I was on about.

Lots of progress, lots of shape starting to show!
Gotta tell ya- at this stage of development I'm getting a real Animal House Deathmobile vibe of this chassis- especially with the grill work you're designing:
When you finish the Orkster Meyer Weinerwaggon, you might be able to create a companion piece!
Rock on.

That sounds like a good UK dea, Olthannon.
I'm trying not to overwhelm myself with orks, hut I did bring all my unfinished stormboyz to my work area. Meh, at least I'm making progress on my stikkbommas:

Yeah. In 7th and 8th ed I could have 30 strong units of Stormboyz. So, naturally, I made three 30 boy units of Stormboyz. Now I have 45 too many. Or, put another way, I have to make 3 more Nobz for them.

Hurrah- you're here! I missed your posts earlier in the month and am glad to catch up now.
I think you're taking the Napoleonic Wargamer credo of " in mass lies perfection" to its furthest logical extension with so many Orks- I read somewhere that the best way to eat an elephant is one piece at a time and keep at it.
Good luck and I look forward to seeing more updates on the progress!

Thanks, Meer_Cat and Cam. Yeah, I hope to have another update tomorrow. I just got some kommandos and squigs. Some will be built stock, but I'm converting all the Cave Squigs to Bomb Squigs. For obvious reasons.
