Hey guys, I have a game coming up against a WoC player, who runs a 3-by-2 block of Skullcrushers....

Whats the best way to kill them? He also run a Skull of Katan as well, so magic is a bad joke.

I was thinking about using Ripperdactyls to snipe the Sorcerer(who is in a Warshrine). I use Lore of Metal on my Loremaster Slann to do the Sig. Spell on the 20+.

I have no idea what to do otherwise....... I'm not sure if Temple Guard will be enough to brunt the charge of even 3 'Crushers.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Lucarikx

Doesn't the new LM book have lots of multiple wounds attacks? Would expect them to be effective. They also have a 1+ AS, so Metal will hurt them.

A stegadon with multiple wound impact hits would be brutal.

Thanks guys.

I have a Ancient Stegadon w/ All upgrades, so I will try that. Would using Temple Guard as a roadblock and flank charging w/ Ripperdactyls and the Stegadon be sound?

Skull crushers can not be killing blowed
, so rippers are useless.

Metal magic. Threaten with searing doom but aim to get plague of rust off. Glittering scales will give the TG a 2+ AS. Back them with a beasts priest.

Give the TG the razor std. Even SC have to pay attention to -3 AS.

Finally load up un cowboy scar vets with GW. They will tear the sc up.

Tillicoutry, albion apparently

Carnasaur with oldblood and piranha blade, pot of str. and enchanted shield. Charge him in and with 9 s7-8 attacks should do well. Lore of light can be good as well....

That involves using Temple Guard, so no. Honestly, a unit like that is so expensive, redirecting it with skinks and blasting it with the boosted Metal Sig is the best thing. It just becomes a liability then. And skinks are cheap enough, that you can use the big blocks to crush the rest of his army.

This.

And Carnisaur.

Use High Magic to get Hand of Glory on your guys and give +D3 WS and Init. That way the Carnisaur goes first, though not before the riders. Walk between worlds will turn the target Ethereal and only the Behemoths will be able to hit--unless they have ensorcelled weapons, which they probably do.

Just straight Kroxigor can give them a run for their money. Mostly by being cheaper and super strong. If you had the same points in Krox as he had in Skullcrushers, it would be a close fight I think. That's like 7-8 Krox. In the supporting rank you will be able to pass in all 3 attacks of the Krox and he can only pass the rider's attacks. So I think it would be 8 attacks for him and 9 attacks for you. He has a better chance to hit by 1 and you are down 1 to hit. Anyway, it's pretty close in a straight slugfight.

It only turns them ethereal until the end of the same magic phase.

Lore of metal armor buff does nothing to temple guard, you already have 5+ scaly skin.

Try Old Blood, Coldone, Armor of Destiny, dawn stone, great weapon.
He's hit on 4's, wounded on 4's, saves on 3+, re-rolls to save on 3+, and then has a 4+ ward.
Being 25mm wide, only 2 touch, with 2 supporting.
That's 12 S5 attacks from the riders, and 4 S5 attacks from the mounts. On average you'll take a wound every 4 to 5 rounds. You're swinging back hitting 3's, wounding on 2's, and he'll save on 5's. With Predatory hunter, you're averaging ~2 wounds a round.

If you're near the slaan and BSB you're lose by the musician and hold on a 9, on 3 dice, with a re-roll.
The 2nd round of combat strips his rank, and you win combat by 1.
Go with high magic, and heal the old blood.
1+ re-rollable and 4+ ward, on a T5 WS6 model that can't be stomped, and is immune to psych; dishing out 5 S7 attacks with PF will have your chaos opponent posting here with "How do I stop this Old Blood?"
