Hello everyone. Just a simple question. What leaders do you prefer for your blood angel army? I personally always go with Dante and Corbulo.

Dante lost too much punch with his FAQ to justify him now. Personally I always run Tycho at 1500+ otherwise its usually a Librarian of some flavor.

Yeah, but when I use a lot of Sanguinary guards I use Dante and ALWAYS Lemartes when playing with DC.

I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

I play Flesh Tearers so I run Seth. Other than that, I run Astorath or Mephi w/ another Libby

I run an allied detachment, and always take the Sanguinor, since there's a good chance his buff will wind up affecting one of my Salamanders rather than the single unit of Blood Angel scouts I brought.

You know, for 60 points you could take a bare bones 3 man DC who do not have a sergeant, so it is guaranteed to go to a Salamander.

I tend to default to either a divination libby, or a Reclusiarch to lead my assault squad. Although these days with prescience, the libby can function as a chaplain but even better, allowing rerolls for the first and second rounds of combat and for pistols when charging. He does, however, lose some CC power and resilliance compared to the reclusiarch.

As far as SCs go, most of them are overcosted or got hurt by FAQs (Dante and Astorath), but Tycho can still be useful, as can Mephiston.

Doesn't the Sanguinor's OTHER buff (the +1A bubble) only affect Blood Angels? Seems like a hell of a waste of points if you're not taking advantage of that.

Personally I usually go for a Reclusiarch as I almost always take my DC, and take a Librarian too if there are enough points to go around. I used to take Dante as part of a melta alpha-strike unit, but under 6th he's rarely worth the points unless it's as Sanguinary Guard tax.

One combo I've been tempted to try is Dante with 4x melta Honour Guard, Sanguinor, and lots of Sanguinary Guard. The Sanguinor's +1A mitigates one of the problems of having Sanguinary Guard and they *still* get their master-crafted reroll to boot. Meanwhile, you get to debuff an enemy character with Dante and have the Sanguinor seek them out for easy pickings, or split the odds if your opponent brought two powerful characters.
