Both as it happens the bodies and organic stuff is made of the same plastics as PP, SMV, Mantic the weapons and anything hard edged are made of polystrene like GW.
Well, that certainly lessens my enthusiasm.

Tossed in a pledge to watch, but I have no idea if I'll stick it out or not. Nasier and Gortisi are both looking pretty good to me, with Shael Han a maybe (but not enough so to make me pledge extra.)

Interesting way to answer the question about material:
Michael Hughes 4 minutes ago
@CMON: Are these going to be made out of GW style hard plastic or PP style plastiresin? I ask because I absolutely despise cleaning PP minis as the plastiresin is so soft it kind of deforms around tools instead of letting you get a good clean, easy removal of the mold lines.

I dunno, the Goritsi ladies are mostly just boring generic fantasy, nothing offensive there unless you're upset by blandness.

I see some appeal in the Goritsi and Shael Han models themselves. But CMoN burned a few bridges with me on Sedition Wars and something being nearly a year out just doesn't appeal to me anymore honestly. I've found that I don't really have the patience unless it's something I truly am in love with.
Good luck on this.

Wow. I didn't even notice that. I kind of glazed over everything after the first two factions.
It's nice when my miniatures become a mean-spirited satire on my career and threadbare employment protection.

There are two models that I would say are sexualized. One that an enormous dog person experiencing the feared double nip-slip and one unit that appear to be living, angry fertility goddesses.
Amongst Kickstarters that feature female miniatures at all I'd say the objectionable meter is average at best.
Do people honestly think that the Union Workers are a socio-political statement?

There's a bit of a Confrontation-ish vibe across parts of the range, but sadly, not the parts of Confrontation that appeal(ed) to me.

I'll give you that point, though there's only a few figures across the whole range that appeal to me. Also, CMON running it and McVey-quality plastics make this a definite no-go for me.

Not sure how the flow of the game will work, but if it becomes kill the leader, the game would feel rather mundane.
The way I heard it, it sounded like there would be a chain (or multiple chains) through an army. Killing a model would effect the models lower down its chain. Using 'kill the leader' as the example seems like a poor choice if this is the case.

There's only one sculpt I like (one of the three Blood Dancers), so this would be an easy miss for me even without CMoN's involvement. Everything else ranges from "Meh" to "Oh hell no".

I gotta say, with the exception of a few models (namely the naked woman: not the fact that they're naked, they just seem really plain to me) and the entire House of Nasier faction, I actually like the majority of them all, seems like solid sculpts, and they all show a lot of character.
I think the gnome faction is really fun looking, and the aquatic faction just pulls at my heart strings just a bit, I do like them a lot.
However, having said that, I just don't think I can do another CMON kickstarter, I'm still waiting on my Relic knights, and until I get it all in my hands and see how well it all is done, I can't justify supporting another preorder.
If the rules are solid I'll have to try it out, maybe even by a starter box just to paint when it hits my FLGS.

I'm the same especially when it comes to C'MON as that year turns into 18 months. I have a few of the resins and will keep it that way. To me if the kick starter can't be 5-6 months I don't want it.

But I actually looked around thinking there'd already be a thread on it when I posted it, and there wasn't... and cincy hasn't even posted in here yet!
The reason I went ahead and put it up is that at the time, and for maybe 20 minutes after posting it, there were still early birds available and I wanted Dakka folks to have a chance to see them (since I had come across this in an email from CMON right after they launched).

so, these are "sprueless plastic" right? Hmm. I'm not a fan of that stuff, but that's primarily because of the horrible mold lines I've had to endure with Privateer and Mantic on them.
I find it odd that there's no stretch goals listed yet. I'm sure it'll have them though since there's characters pictured that aren't in the starters, like that girl with the Nasier that's got her skirt fluttering behind her or that Pit Abomination looking thing with the Goritsi. I hope they aren't going to do like with Deadzone or Toughest Girls and withhold them for a couple days.

They have passed two already. 75k was adding infantry to each starter. 100k added another variant sculpt to each set, which are the stretches for 125k and 150k as well.

I count 4 T&A models, and 3 of those are BBW's, which are pretty unusual for any depiction, let alone a sexualized one. I guess you could count the furries if you're into that. Its certainly not designed to titlate your average audience. I'd originally thought the design as a whole was just too damn French to get much traction, but it looks like I'm wrong on that count. I do dig the Hadross though.

Pretty much this. I wanted to like this, but the more I saw the less interested I got. It kills me that the Wrath of Kings guys are the ones that are supposedly in charge of Confrontation: Pheonix edition that we haven't had any news on in a year. Supposedly this will not interfere with Pheonix ed, but I don't see how that's possible.
This is way too Malifaux for me. By that I mean that every single faction has a few awesome models that I love, but absolutely none of the factions as a whole interest me. Oh well, at least I'll get some cool new plastic wolfen style models to play with.

As I understand it, some of the designers from Confrontation are working on this game. At the very least, the designer of the Wolfen is working on it.
