Actually the Ard Case on the BattleWagon is actually a bad thing in this case ..better to be open topped so you can use it to shoot out of or assult out of ..drop two of the big shootas off the wagon ..add thes points to the boys squads in the form of big shoota boys ..Split the gretchin up into 3 groups for objectives(yea each group appears easier to kill but over all it increases their surviability and objective camping power)

2k pts an not many lootas? at 2kpt you are able to use the extra force org!
ah ok split the grots into 3squads of 10 or 2 of 15
split lootas into 2 squads of x5
ard is bad cus you want it to be open topped
take 2x bis shootas and with all dat get 2x more lootas
mad doks alittle spendy you can take more for his pts

not sure what you mean by "extra force org"
there is a total of 20 lootas, 2 10 man squards
only reason for mad dok is the 5++ for the meganobz im sure there going to be facing power weapons
now im not against dropping mad dok but not sure

grots dont get mob rule anymore.
please do a updated version of the list on this post if you drop maddok
also at 2k points you can take a extra force orginization chart. so you can get 12troop slots 6elites 6fast attack ect..

Battlewagons - if you take a def rolla then you should strip all of the weapons off. The only other thing I would take is red paint and that only if you paint the wagon red.
The reason you should never take weapons with a def rolla is because you will be tempted to use them (if you are not tempted you just wasted whatever points you spent). This will cause you wagon to not go very far each turn. if you put weapons on the battlewagon, you should save yourself the 20 points and not take the def rolla. The battlewagon is a huge target and usually will not last the 2 turns it will take to get to your opponent.
Meganobs are slow and purposeful, perfect for your wagon but the Big Mek really isn't helping them. The save is certainly nice to have but it only saves 33% of the time and if your opponent gets within 6" of your Battlewagon you just gave them 5+ cover as well from your Lootas.
I would not use the Gretchins as an objective taking unit. Instead I would put them on the front line with Mad Doc giving them Fearless and FNP (5+ extra save). This means your opponent will have to kill them all before targeting another unit. It also means that you have to charge forward with them, because of Mad Doc. Gretchins don't have Mob Rule, taking less of them will just make it easier to remove 25% of them and if the Runtherd is removed their LD is 5.
Nob Boss with a PK always sounds incredible, but in most games you will never use it. It's always better to have 3 big shootas for 15 pts and use these units as objective takers that sit back and fire. If you take a Nob (he's only 10 points for an extra wound), I would still take the bosspole. otherwise I would run them without the nob - same LD and this unit can not be challenged by your opponent.
Defkoptas have never worked for me in any game, since 6th came out I've used them 4 more times and still them seem to just be a point suck. I would take bikes for FA any day.
The single Dakkajet is basically just waiting to come in from reserve so you can justify yelling Waaagh! this plan is awesome except when the Dakkajet comes in on the 4th turn basically a little late and then you get to watch it be destroyed by snap fire or worse a single Quad Gun shot.
on top of all this, I would take more units of Boyz (100 would make them green tide but you will also need a Warboss). To improve the list, your battlewagon needs support, so it's not running into your opponent all by itself.
The lootas need to find better coverage or an ADL that they can go to ground behind 2+ cover. there snap shot isn't as bad as it sounds. squads of 10 is perfect for this.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh don't forget to spend the 5 points to give Mad Doc, Big Mek (or HQ), and your Lootas cybork the 5+ invulnerable save is always worth it. This is another reason why the Big Mek isn't very useful with your Meganobs.

This part wonders me. sir. does 1 big shoota make you rather shoot a man rather than being 13" away from a vehicle drive it full boar at it?
1big shoota is needed. i would rather it be a 1-6 chance to loss the deffrolla rather than a 2-5 and just loss my 5pt upgrade over my 20pt useful upgrade
and maddoks 5+ fnp is pointless as to give a t2 unit fnp seem rather pointless to get saves vs a very limited select of armys.

Def Rolla does damage in the movement phase, you should go all out, until it's gone and if you ever think you should stop and shoot, you will have wasted 20 points. Also the unit inside the Battle wagon can shoot their weapons - but it should never come to that either.
Alright I will admit I'm struggling to understand what you are saying. Mad Dok will make the 33 models in the Gretchin unit Fearless. That's what he is actually doing. The FNP save is just a bonus, that if they get a cover save and fail they can still roll FNP, because of Mad Dok, this is only a reduction of casualties but not the reason to put Mad Doc in this unit - though some players I know have given them Cybork but that's an extra 165 points for a squad that will still probably die. The idea is to force your opponent to continue to shoot at the 120 pt squad continuously to remove it.

At the 2000pts mark, a single Battlewagon won't last long. Chances are it will be gone before it's had its chance to move, leaving your meganobs stranded.
9 meganobs is just overkill, and a massive points sink that's hurting your list overall. Usually three or four are enough to get the job done. You may also spit them in two groups of four, each with their own Battlewagon.
10 Grots should be enough to camp backfield objectives. Then again, I've never been too fond of them. Unless they're going to ground behind an ADL, or using their BS3 to fire the Icarus Lascannon, I'd skip on them entirely.

You could take a Warboss in MA for 100pts and then take more MANZ for the remainder. That way you can take a squad of MANZ as a troop choice since having a Warboss allows you to take a squad of MANZ or regular Nobz as such.
Remember the wise words of Warboss Hannibal Smith: "Overkill is Underrated!"

Hello! Big fan of the Mad Dok even though I see you are pulling him from the list. Just thought I'd add that I tried him with grots and was quickly reminded that seemingly everything in this game will instant death them completely negating the FnP. I hope you don't give up on him in at least fun lists. Every game I've played where he was with some sort of boy equivalent unit with an armor or cybork save he seemed to turn a 1W model into an almost 2W model.
Battlewagon? IMO break the shootas into 3 or 4 trukk boy units and screen the wagon with the trukks especially if you want to see that wagon get the meganobz in there. Also be mindful of your vehicles getting in the way of good loota shots. Good friend I play with has played this game for ten years and he's always making me lose good shots on anything with my lootas between screening soft targets with land raiders or my own vehicles. In fact, he does it to so well and to a point that I really don't like fielding lootas against him (Dakka dakka everywhere and not a shot to make). If you don't want to go with trukks maybe consider losing the battlewagon and meganobz for biker nobz.
My 2nd big game with a deffrollawagon made me regret not painting it red. Yes I did manage to be short of a tankshokk on a land raider by one inch.
I think 9 Meganobz are overkill. 36 Powerklaw attacks on a charge? Yeah you'll kill it good and dead alright..
I am not an experienced 40k player, so feel free to take or leave my advice.

Well I Guess This Is A Battle Report, played a 1500 pt game with the last list I posted and won. All did well but the meganobz only lasted one turn thanks to terminators and the megas not having inv saves but all of the terminators died also so worth the points. Lost most of the boys and 2 deffcoptas and a squad of lootas but that's it. After that I'm thinking about using mad dock and putting him with a squad of boys and just let the cause havoc

Dude you can take another squad of mega nobz as you can use a double force organisation chart!
|
1. Go to FLGS on a 40K game night.
2. Announce to no one in particular "I have over 10,000 points of Space Marines".
3. Sit back and watch as some 30-ish Neckbeard who still lives with his parents not only disputes your claim, but goes on to describe his 30,000 points of Blood Angels and how he has been playing since Rogue Trader days... And yet you will have never seen him either play 40K or that army.
4. From here, you have several options. Continue the conversation, or just end it. Either way, I guarantee you will waste 1+ hour of your life talking to this guy. Have fun!
