Why keep old stuff that you are never going to play with or read?

Started this mini of one of the main characters, Raleas Effernetti, of my Diesel Punk/Fantasy series, The Angaran Chronicles. Here's her infiltrating during a dinner party. I have a mini of Anargrin, the main character, whom I plan to paint next. I was going to paint him in his signature clothes, a beige two-piece suit with a navy shirt and tie, but now I will repaint him in a black suit with a black tie and a white shirt to match her. They'll be at the same dinner party together, like in the first novel, The Angaran Chronicles: The Underside.

Almost finished my new version of Raleas Effernetti (or the La Femme Nikita version, maybe?) today, so I started the most James Bond version of Anargrin yet. I'm really happy with the highlighting on his black suit so far.

Anyway, managed to finish (mostly? Maybe?) fancy dressed black ops agents Anargrin and Raleas of the Angaran Chronicles. Both Hero Forge minis I had a lot of fun painting.

I know exactly what you mean. I painted my Ork Kommandoes using Contrast paints because I just wanted to get them done, but it turned into a slog. If I missed a part the white would stand out, wasn't fun at all.

Back on topic, I'm pretty certain I finished Anargrin and Raleas. Quite happy with how they've turned out!

I've been working on finishing up some spiked cacti terrain pieces, and plugging away at the battle bible, made it to the codex space marines, so I just have that, the 3 space marine supplements, and the 2nd imperial guard/chaos codex's left to go before working on all the supplements and the rest of battle missions.

Have been on a Thousand Sons painting spree lately, I did 2 tanks super fast (2-3 days each), then I jumped into the big man himself, Magnus. This one was a slog for many reasons, but getting into the final stretch of doing the base now! Should be done later tonight or tomorrow at last!

Started on a whim another version of Anargrin from Hero Forge. This one I started like five years back, but felt I frigged him up so bad or felt I did I just let him stand around half finished, until today. Or yesterday, I started base painting his skin yesterday, I think. This is Anargrin when he fights the main villain at the end of the first novel The Angaran Chronicles: The Underside after he was freed from captivity and mostly healed magically after two weeks of torture at the hands of the villain. I'm tempted to get some Blood for the Blood god and smear it on places around his torso.

Once more working through my "Basecoated but not painted" pile. I had a pile of models I was about to paint but then as I was sorting out the random models lying about my hobby room I saw one and thought,"This will be easy!"

So without further ado...



One Truthsayer! Bought this guy for my Dog of War army. As I normally play 6th edition I can bring this guy as a mercenary too so I can get a lot of use out of him. Getting this guy done also inspired me too work on other Dogs of War units....though I dont intend to use them for a Mercenary army.




Ghazak Khan! The Mercenary general....who I do not intend to use as a Mercenary general. Instead this bad boy is a Hobgoblin Hero for my Chaos Dwarf army that is half painted in a carrying case. While I was working on this guy I thought I'd go through my Chaos Dwarf army and fix up stuff I had painted way back in 2006. Sooooo.....




Are these painted very well? Naw, these are back when I was still kinda learning to paint. They were "Mostly" done so all I had to do was wash and highlight. As well as fix up the bases as I really didn't like what I had done before.

So thats what I got done this week. Lets see if I get distracted with anything else next week.

Does living out my Jedi/Gundam fantasies with my lightsaber my buddy bought me count?

If not, I'm contemplating buying an Armorcast Warhound Titan, for Horus Heresy games.

Calling him mostly finished now, still might smear some Blood for the Blood god on his torso when I get the courage, lol. Started another version of Attelus Kaltos from Secret War, his face, anyway, it's his mini that all this practice has been leading up to, in all honesty.

Building 2 squads of Ogyns & finalizing choices for an upcoming Armageddon Crusade.

Finally worked up the courage to apply the Blood for the Blood god on the injured Anargrin and fixed up his skin a bit more. I also made quite a lot of progress on the new mini of Attelus.

Didn't get much painting done this week. Started on some more Dark Elf stuff but its technically a test model. I've been trying to figure out what colour to paint all of my Cold Ones, finally decided on a colour but having trouble pulling it off.

We'll see where this goes...

Finishing up some Wrath of Kings models that I got in a clearance sale, to be werewolves in my undead army.
Keeping the basing flexible, but the undead will mostly be played in Kings of War.

Finished the injured, exhausted version of Anargrin from the Angaran Chronicles.



Also practically finished this mini of the main character of my sci fi novel Azakir Halgriv. You might notice he's on an Infinity base, because I'm considering rewriting it to be based in the Infinity universe and pitching it to Corvus Belli. The psychotic look on his face is when he's fighting a worthy opponent. I bought a Scale 75 Soilworks basing kit and had fun playing around with it, although, I think the base could use something more, though.

Doing some maintenance work on my vintage (mostly RT/early 2e) Terminator units.
The only plastic here is the bases they're standing on....

I picked up an odds & ends lot awhile back. Sorting through one of the bitz baggies the other day I found it had RT era Termie bitz mixed in (stray arms & a few bodies).
After some arm P.Sword arm swaps to pick out Sgts? I've now up to 41 2e & older Termies, 1 Chaplain, Lysander, 2 Captains, & 3 Librarians.

The Chaplain, Lysander, 1 Capt, & 1 Librarian all hail from 3e/4e.
I need Lysanders shield, a banner pole for the 4e Capt, & 7 banner poles for my OG Saturnines.
And I'll need to craft a standard to turn #41 into an Ancient with banner.

*the term a friend uses to refer to my vast collection of stuff that's been oop longer than some of our players have been alive.

Today I've got to dig out at least 40 RT era Guardsmen + weapons teams.

And I've been working on this Infinity 0-12 Nightshade mini which might be Azakir in full infiltration gear, hence the similar colours. I'm having a lot of fun painting this mini.
