Looking to build this necron army for an up and coming tournament in the coming months. New to the 6th edition and any help with this meta would be greatly appreciated.

HQ Choice:

Overlord on CCB
Warscythe
Sempiternal Weave
MSS ... 210 pts.

Necron Lord
Res Orb ... 65 pts.

DespTek (Not sure about this)
Abyssal Staff
Nightmare Shroud
Veil of Darkness ... 70 pts.

The lord and destek will be foot slogging with a unit of 18 warriors

Troops Choice

18 Warriors *accompanying the destek and lord* ...234 pts.

10 Warriors on Ghost Ark ...245 pts.

10 Warriors on Ghost Ark ...245 pts.

10 Immortals w/ Tesla ...170 pts.

Elites Choice

Triarch Stalker
TL Heavy Gauss Cannon ...165 pts.

Triarch Stalker ...150 pts.

Fast Attack Choice

6 Canoptek Wraiths
Whip Coils ... 270 pts.

6 Canoptek Scarab Swarms ...90 pts.

Heavy Support

3 Canoptek Spyder ...150 pts.

Annihilation Barge ...90 pts.

Annihilation Barge ...90 pts.

Total of 2244 pts.

Basically I'm looking to utilize a strong gun line supplemented by a res orb and the ability to DS near a weaker unit or away from heavy CC infantry. Ghost Ark units are there for objective taking, alongside the infantry eating Tesla Immortals which the Triarch Stalkers really compliment.

Because of the low CC ability of the troops, I would like to field the wraiths and scarabs as a sort of shield for the CC infantries to pick at, and perhaps antitank abilities, alongside the spyders as a backup and large infantry unit lockup.

The theory is to have a lot of shooting, supplemented by keeping the heavier infantry units stuck in CC with my wraiths, spyders and scarabs. Giving my gun lines more mobility options.
Any suggestions on this theory are welcome. Perhaps this tactic overall just sucks, I'd be more than happy to hear why, if that is the case. Thanks fellas.

Forgot to mention,

I've considered swapping the ghost arks with a NS instead, considering the TL Tesla Destructor with the Arc capability, I think it would be an awesome addition to pick apart swarming armies, but I'm not sure of this, considering that 10 Immortals with Tesla combined with the Triarch Stalkers would already handle this role well, But it would free up 30 more points of room that I could perhaps add in a StormTek or something (after some tweaking of course) along those lines and perhaps DS the Immortals from the NS considering that footslogging them with no Royal Court could really be a waste of 170 points early in a game.

Heirarchies are entierely and helplessly unfit t furnish people with necessities. Leave those broken and foolish ideas for the church; they have a fondness for lying to the people.

Switch Warriors around so that there are 20 walking and less riding.
In fact, if you decide to keep the Command Barge, drop the Weave and a few more Warriors from the Ghost Arks to be able to afford a Phase Shifter.
With those many vehicles, giving one of your Spyders a repair claw would be a good idea. Might as well throw in a Gloom Prism as well. RemoveIf possible, but the Scarabs up to 10. Remove more Warriors from Ghost Arks to afford the points needed (you only really need 5 in each).

Thanks for the repsonse! I was starting to worry that my theory was so bad that nobody would respond to it out of pity for my failed tactica.

I agree on the Ark squads. I'd really mostly utilize these guys for late game objectives, and the occasional ark shields (situational.) As far as the Phase Shifter, I meant to edit this to include that over the weave since he's on the CCB anyway.

I did consider the Claw for the spyders, I've been tweaking the list for a couple hours to work the points in for it. I thought about the gloom prism, but it seems to lopsided for me for the points. I hate template weapons (they scare me.) and having blobs that close to a unit that people like to target simply to avoid psyker seems a little risky, i'd prfer just killing the psyker. (There are some things however that I think would suck. Chaos Daemons in particular are nice tarpits, and you might be right here with the gloom prism depending on the situation. I'll definitely consider it.

The scarabs... well, I've always hated scarab factory builds, but that's why they are there, that and HP removal. I figure with any luck my spyders could breed a few more to boost their numbers before they get into CC lockup. But freeing up points in the ark teams could bolster the number. I'll go over this list with your suggestions and update it when I get somewhere.

Well I reworked the list a bit following your suggestions, lost some guns, but I did work out two possible lists both of which (in perhaps my flawed theory) seem solid.

HQ
Overlord
Warscythe
Phase Shifter
MSS
CCB ... 240

Lord (Accompanying Unit of 20 Warriors)
Orb ... 65

StormTek ... 25 (Replaced the DespTek and placed him in a 5 warrior/ark unit for objectives and antitank)

StormTek ... 25

Troops
Warriors x 20 (Accompanied by Lord) ... 260
Warriors x 5 with Ghost Ark ... 180 (Accompanied by StormTek)
Warriors x 5 with Ghost Ark ... 180 (Accompanied by StormTek)

Immortals x 10 with Tesla ... 170

Elites
Triarch Stalker with TL HGC ... 165
Triarch Stalker ... 150

Fast Attack
Canoptek Wraith x 6 with Whip Coils x 3 ... 240

Canoptek Scarabs x 10 ... 150

Heavy Support
Canoptek Spyder x 3 with Claw Array x 1, Gloom Prism x 1 ... 175

Annihilation Barge ... 90
Annihilation Barge ... 90

This build gives me 45 poinsts of play which I really love, possibly another cryptek? or perhaps some upgrades? Working the numbers I see a lot of possibilities here.

My other theory would dust a x5 Warrior/StormTek/Ark unit and add another x6 Wraith x3 Whip Coils squad. This would put me at 2240 pts, Give the StormTek Lightning Field for a "just in case" would put me at 2250 and give me a hellacious front line. I'm not entirely familiar with the 6th edition's rules but I think fast attacks can hold objectives??? If that is the case, then it's a very fair trade. But another problem would lie with any savvy player recognizing the role of a single ghost ark unit... after all crippling an opponent early is as easy as wrecking his transports... but with heavy hitting vehicles, it might swap prioritizing a bit.
