I thought the goal of 50 k was a bit high, after 30k in about four minutes I was obviously wrong.

Picked up the $140 EB. Disappointing that only three human characters included in the base game but know they will be bumped up quite quickly.

I went for a $90 EB took one look at the humans on the front page and bumped it up to $140.

I'm impressed... I love how the base pledge comes with your own choice of add-ons.

Woah, August 2014, assumed it would be May at the latest. I suppose they need the first two quarters of 2014 free to complete Deadzone.

I loaded the page at $0, there were already 33 of the $140 EB's gone when I clicked to get one, and only 73 left when mine finished processing.

Looks like it's about to fund, now we'll see what sort of stretch goal regime this one is going to have

We’ve deliberately added a couple of extra months to our shipping date to cater for this, meaning we can work on checking the quality of everything that comes through."

Super! IFOS has the campy alien invasion board game pretty well staked out, I'm hoping that MA retains more of the Deadzone skirmish feel.

Glancing over the kickstarter, it's tough to tell the actual "value" of the game box because your pledging for the game plus an unspecified dollar amount of add ons. Making some reasonable assumptions about stretch goal free-bees, my gut says that the overall "value" will be similar to DZ and DB in the end.

Wow – that was quick! This means that we have successfully raised enough funding to produce Mars Attacks: The Miniatures Game!

I think it’s important to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who’s backed so far. Whether this is your first Kickstarter campaign with Mantic, or you’re a veteran of every one we’ve done, welcome aboard! This is going to be a fun ride.

For anyone who’s new, here’s a little note about how this works. Now that we’ve funded the basic game, we get to start working on the fun stuff! We’ll be putting up Stretch Goals - additional things we’ll be able to produce, or upgrades to things we’ve already locked in, if we hit additional funding targets. Whenever we hit one, we’ll put out an update like this one (which you can read via email or through your Kickstarter account) to announce the next one! Sometimes we’ll even announce a couple in advance…

See it is based around the IDW comic - and the new card series- rather than the original 1962 set, so I have hemmed and hawed about this up to the start of the KS, but plumped for a $140 early bird.

Surprised at the August 2014 release date but in some ways that tipped the balance. Hopefully this will not be rushed and Mantic get time for some quality checking and taking time to get great and not so-so sculpts.

Funded in 15 minutes, so bring on the stretches....

This is actually exceptional value.

$15 for 8 martians or US marines, all unique poses. Deadzone was charging $35 for that many minis at KS launch.

Plus, I got a $140 EB with the boxed game + $125 of addons.

Which basically means I got the boxed game for $15, which is pretty sweet. Factor in FREE SHIPPING and you might as well call the boxed game free.

How freaking sweet are these guys?

Even if you don't want the game, you have to admit, those are some great minis.

Phew – got it out just in time!

Incredible stuff, this is just unreal.

Here’s the first stretch goal:

$75,000 – Exclusive Topps Trading Cards

Mars Attacks orginated as a set of trading cards 50 years ago and, thanks to the guys at Topps, we have got four pieces of never-before-seen art.

If we hit $75,000 we will create a set of 4 exclusive Collectors Topps Trading Cards - you can only get them from this Kickstarter!

We will make them available:

- As an Core Add-on for $15

- As a new Pledge Level for Card Collectors!

These will tie in with the new Mars Attacks: Invasion trading card series from Topps – an absolute must-have for collectors and Mars Attacks fans.

Right, we’ve set it up – let’s see if you guys can knock it down!

I just pledged for the $142 EB without even really knowing what this is about. I don' t think it's even worth my time investigating until there's some stretch goals unlocked. By that time I'll probably be glad I got in early, otherwise I can still drop it.

On the Facebook page they've shown a picture of a rather large plastic flying stand. I'm hoping the saucer that goes on top shows up as a stretch goal soon
