I don't have any of my own, but I've had friends tell me of things such as dice punishment. One smashes them with a hammer (while making the others watch) or has thrown one out a car door and told it to fend for itself. Another claims to have burnt them.
So does anyone have similar habits or ones trying to influence positive outcomes?
Somehow, I don't think blaming things like dice for losing is a constructive habit that will improve the performance of the player...

A number of years ago, I was able to force dice to roll the way I wanted them to. It took a lot of time, focus and concentration, and I was never able to concentrate enough in the middle of a game (plus it took long enough that it would've slowed the game down enough that no one would've wanted to play with me anyways) to make it work anywhere that mattered, but I was able to do it.
Basically, I sat at the dining room table with a scatter die, shook it in my hands, while closing my eyes and just thinking "Dead-on, dead-on, dead-on," over and over, focusing on the result I wanted, until it felt "right." Then I'd roll the die.
Admittedly, I was very sick in a way that results in hallucinations and illusions and stuff, so who knows if that die actually ended up with the bull's-eye facing up every time.

It's not the weirdest thing that's happened to me.
Often I'd be listening to a long playlist on shuffle, and a song would end, and another song would pop into my head, then that song would start to play.
Or there were the many times I'd be arguing on forums, make a post, browse away from the thread, then see that someone made a reply, click on it again, and as the page was loading, a response to my post would pop into my head that I hadn't ever thought of before, then I'd scroll down and that would be the same argument someone posted in reply to me.
Or that time I was in the car with my mom driving, and we were both being quiet, and then a sentence popped into my head out of the blue, and then my mom said that exact sentence, word for word, just a moment later.
Back on topic, If you microwave a dice face up on the number you want, some radiation will go into it, make it extra bouncy, and always wanna go on that number!

My first post actually was on-topic. It was a gaming-related ritual that attempted to get favorable dice rolls. Just because it actually succeeded doesn't make it any less valid of an example.
Sometimes I wonder if I cursed my Dark Angel colored dice by using them in Chaos games. I'd like to get properly colored ones but money is currently needed elsewhere in the game.
When i play my imperial guard i like to read the litany of shooting and the litany of defense and such from my Imperial Guardsman Uplifting Primer. It usually works when the god emperor has sanctified my mission, and it also annoys the hell out of my opponents (uh oh, 90 lasgun shots, but first, an ode to the emperor!)

Then thou art told to "skip a bit bother" by Brother Maynard.
The Dark Gods usually get a quick prayer before I roll for scatter. I also relegate dice that I notice performing poorly to the Failure Pile for a while.
Back in 5th, my Sorcerer used to fail psychic tests far more often than he had any right to. He got better once he learnt that after failing a test, he was packed away for a week with his face buried in my AOBR Dreadnought's crotch area.

If I want to roll high I take my dice that are on ones and roll them and if I want to roll low (Leadership tests) then I take my dice on sxes and then I roll them.
I know that statistically there is no difference but that part of my brain tells me that the ones will roll higher next time and that the sixes will roll lower the next time. Call me superstitious if you want.
Last Combat Patrol I participated: My Deathmarks were trolling me with their DS. First game I failed to DS each and every turn, and the last one, when they automatically DS, a mishap happened and back to reserves they went.
Second game, I fail again to DS. I grabbed the Deathmark squad, I grouped them together and showed them what happened if they didn't pull their gak together. I showed them another deathmark, this one without any arms and one other with his torso separated from his legs.
Next turn: Perfect DS, and I mean absolutely perfect DS with a good kill-ratio. I now make sure I inform any troops of the eventual consequences of too much fail.
(What they don't know, is that those Deathmarks were like that because of "glue failure", they weren't wrecked on purpose. But they don't need to know that )

This specific dice once rolled six 6's in a row, so I set him aside for important rolls. Good dice, good boy.
That dice may be slightly weighted. Sometimes a dice can be naturally weighted to a number. It just didn't turn out right in the process when making it. A good way to test it is to roll it lots of times and note the results to see if you get more sixes than you should do overall. The more rolls you make the less error of margin you'll get.
Whatever you do with the dice afterwards is up to you.
secretly i line my marines up and (try) to give them a good pep-talk and run a "training game" against eachother. In my mind it lets me know whos going to be able to one-man-stand and who should sit the objective. In-game it means nothing but it makes me feel better to believe that i know whos having an off-day. I also take the odd hammer to a die. Point all the 1's to the traitorous die and hit it with whatever hammer is convenient. Did it with a 3-pound sledge hammer and had a piece scratch my friends car door.

This is a common one I see down at the store. If a player rolls badly with the same dice a few times in a row then he'll put them aside and say "I'm not using these dice anymore".

I would be quickly out of dice. I'm on the dice gods "Torment" list.
Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

The way to win favour with them is to use the dice like I do. If you want to roll high then use the dice that are currently showing 1's and if you want to roll low then use the dice that currently show 6's. Also to note to get some good dice around the size of Chessex dice. Those wee itsy bitsy dice roll more 1's than they should.
There is a reason I play Nids and Eldar. I may not be able to hit, wound or save, but by god will I pass my Psychic and Morale tests.

Before I head down to play, I scarifice a virgin lamb with pure white wool on a stone alter with a silver knife, while chanting "6, 6, 6" over and over.
No I don't. The closest I have is I weigh up my 2 dice blocks (bone-white and black) and go with which feels luckier.

I once jokingly prayed to Scootaloo to give me a 6 to steal Initiative. I got it. After that, I stole the initiative 12 more times in a row each with a different dice after chanting her name 6 times. She's a giving goddess.

I have my thrice blessed dark green and silver dice I use when playing my Dark Angels. Every time I pass an invulnerable save I shout "The Emperor Protects!" lest I appear not faithful to the Emperor.
