We are happy to announce a new gaming mat – a modern / futuristic destroyed highway theme. Infinity players will find it very convenient to have lines marking 8 and 12 inch deployment areas on the 4x6 and 4x4 size mats. Those playing other systems will still enjoy highest resolution detailed image and best PVC mat material available. Mats will ship on 11th of July, until then all preorder receive -10% discount. Check them out at our webstore or FB gallery!

Any chance of a destroyed highway going 45 degrees diagonally across the mat rather than parallel to the mat edges? Would buy for Infinity...

Ian: we don't have plans to make new mods of current design. However there are more futuristic urban settings coming up before winter falls. Check us out from time to time, maybe you will find something for your table.

If you can do a futuristic urban setting at 45 degrees before I get around to making modular terrain tiles for myself (which, to be fair, may never happen), I am in.

The highway is nice but it'd be difficult for me to get enough terrain onto it for an Infinity game, just because the terrain would need to predominantly be vehicles, rubble, goods that might've been spilled from vehicles, improvised barricades, etc. I guess it could work with some of the temporary buildings from Topsolitario... it's very specific though. It'd get kind of samey, I fear, which is a shame, because to my mind it's aesthetically one of the nicest mats you've done yet. I just couldn't use most of the Infinity terrain I have built (buildings) with it.

Just ordered my mat tonight! Picked up the Space Platform mat for AVP games down the road.

I’m sure glad GW is going to all plastic, so the ever-rising cost of white metal won’t impact the cost of their miniatures.

We are happy to announce a new miniature games mat that is born out of pure feedback from everyone of you. After our latest release of a tarmac themed playmat which you found most suitable for sci-fi environment with Manga aesthetics, we saw a lot of discussion which is better – horizontal or diagonal street lines to mark deployment areas. Well, now you can have both. The new wargames mat is 4’ x 4’ in size, features high detail demolished street view and is manufactured out of highest quality vinyl material. Check our FB gallery or website to see which one you like more and leave us a comment or two.

I recently purchased the 3x3 fields mat for games of D&D Attack Wing. Just need to pick it up at the post tomorrow! Review to come.

Alright, retrieved my mat from the post office yesterday. Nice to get something all the way from Lithuania! The shipping tube was very sturdy and the mat suffered no damage whatsoever on its long journey to Virginia. I'm very glad this was shipped via tube, as I really hate the idea of folding a game mat. The only fault I can find with the shipping is cost. I hope Deep-Cut can find a US distributor -- maybe Miniature Market?

I own game mats from Gale Force 9 and HCD Supplies. I really love the GF9 mats. They set the bar as far as I am concerned. They are made of thick, textured vinyl and have high-quality, non-photographic images. (I really do not like NASA photos for my mats.) While the HCD mat have okay images, the material is a big problem. It's that mousepad material -- it's a dirt magnet and it's hard to roll up.

Now that my bias has been disclosed, I can say that I am very pleased with my Deep-Cut mat. It is pretty much as nice as a GF9 mat with one notable exception: it is on thinner vinyl. As such, I think GF9 still ranks number one for this kind of product. Even so, I would recommend Deep-Cut's mats without reservation. Shipping cost aside, their mats are competitively priced and come quite close to GF9 in terms of quality. They have at least one major advantage over GF9 as well: Deep-Cut offers a ton of different mats.

I got this one:

Having pre-ordered D&D Attack Wing Wave 0, I naturally require some kind of grassy field to battle on/above. This mat is truly the perfect fit. The color palette is light enough to work well for a fantasy-themed game without being too cheery. The image detail is very good and catches the eye without being distracting. This is truly a "perfect fit" product. Right now, Deep-Cut is to my knowledge the only company offering a product like this. Anyone getting into D&D Attack Wing should definitely consider getting one.

New miniature games mat is available in our webshop! It expands the selection for those playing alternative modern or futuristic wargames. Needless to say, it’s the usual highest quality print on the premium class vinyl material. The mat comes in three sizes (4x6, 4x4, 3x3 feet) but we can adjust it to your table as a custom work too. Check it out at our gallery for some visual aids and close-ups.

Time for a new gaming mat release! This time we called great artist Jan Jasinski again. When it comes to unique hand drawn space views, nothing and no-one can beat this man. And let the new asteroid field theme speak for itself. The mat is released in three sizes: 3x3, 3x6 and 4x6 feet, is printed on slim but extremely durable PVC and, as all our mats, boasts exceptional detail level and quality. Check it out at our gallery!

Man, that is sweet! Will you be offering a 6x3 size soon?

I only wish the mats weren't quite so glossy - would love to see an actual pic of this one once it is printed up as I think the blue might help it be a little less reflective than straight black.

Either he edited his post, you need coffee, or your laying your mats the wrong direction on the table . Whichever it was it got a snicker out of me on a rough day. Thanks (no insults intended as I didn't point out a blonde option )

Any chance you guys might offer a 'cracked concrete' look for one of your mats in the future?

I am not looking for any particular roadway or design across it, I just need an expanse of cracked concrete I can put my own buildings on to simulate a ruined industrial area.

With the concrete if you could be a bit restrained in how it looks (not massive craters or big undulating cracks across its surface like the tarmac one you have), that would be great. I just need to have some concrete which looks like it hasn't been maintained in a long while.

I'd be interested in one which was a mix of shallow thin cracks and divots, parts which are broken up and loose with the slightest amount of broken bits in between, and other spots of broken bits with the tiniest amount of green foliage just starting to peek through.

If you were able to make an entire sheet of this, I think a lot of people would find it useful, mainly because it allows them to place terrain where they like, and make their own roads or pathways on it, rather than stick to any specific pre-set determination of which direction it is supposed to lay, what angle buildings can be set at, etc. It would make for a fantastic base on which to set an urban ruin/industrial wasteland.

Just a thought Once I get my finances in order I am likely to do a bulk buy from you to grab a whole bunch and save on shipping.

Cheers!

Fenriswulf: and it's a great idea indeed! Looks like we have been on the same course lately, only difference is that today's release is for a different setting.

Time for a new gaming mat release! This time it‘s something for fantasy or historical wargames – a cobblestone background. With no strict areas or streets, you can place your terrain scenery in gazillion ways to make each battle unique. These PVC mats come in standard 4x6, 4x4 and 3x3 sizes. But we can add squares, hexes, lines, or change the mat size according to your gaming table as easy as 1-2-3. Check them out at our website and let us know what you think!

Have you guys considered making roads out of this stuff?

My group could really use some durable, but flexible roads like this.

Yes, roads, rivers, trenches - lots of considerations were (and are) done. However small PVC sheets don't look as good on the table as we would like to see them. But we have few ideas to make them see the daylight. Maybe even this year.

Thanks for taking on the ideas for a concrete mat, I really appreciate it!

As for the cobblestone mat, that looks fantastic, and I think it would be a really cool mat to have for Malifaux. You could put all kinds of cool buildings and the like on it and have it work from the get go. I really like it. It's yet another one to add to the list of mats I want to buy from you guys in the future, heh

So, based on the feedback here, I just bought Five mats (2 Grass and 2 Wasteland for D&D Attack Wing, and 1 Blue Asteroid for Star Trek Attack Wing).

How long do they usually take to print and send to the United States?

Wispur: mats are manufactured and we always have them ready for dispatch. Shipping to US usually takes 3-4 weeks.

So, the five 3x3 Mats I ordered came in yesterday, a whole week earlier than I was expecting!

The four mats I got for D&D Attack Wing were perfect, and beautiful and exactly what I wanted!

The Blue Asteroid one I got for Star Trek came with some noticeable scratches though.
The scratches aren't terrible, but they were noticeable as soon as I unrolled it, and when I took the Mats to the store to show them off, others noticed the scratches right away too.

So, 4 out of 5, lol.

We got to play with one of the D&D ones (the Grassy Field), and I gotta say, it exceeded my expectations in terms of play surface. I was expecting the figures to slide around some, but that wasn't the case at all, the Mat had just enough grip that bumps to the table didn't shift the figures at all. I'm also very happy with how quickly it laid flat after taking it out of the tube.

So, overall, I would recommend these mats to others (and may buy more for my group in the future), with the side note that they may arrive scratched.

Ah, 4 out of 5 is not a good option. Let's see how this ends up on emails where we are looking for a ways to make it 5 out of 5. In other news:

How about a miniature games battlefield that fits into your pocket? How about a gaming mat that has a highest picture quality and deepest colors that available technology can afford? And how about it is so easy to take care of, that each and every battle can be played on a flawless table? And here we are with an answer.

The goal of our newly released gaming mats was simple – an ultra-portable and ultra-high quality wargames table for a reasonable price. First we came up with synthetic cloth, because it is very lightweight, has very good durability properties and is very easy to take care of. You can machine-wash it or iron it, so the mat is always as brand new. Even without these fancy wet procedures all you have to do is lay it on the table, stroke it a few times and those nasty folding lines are gone. Then we came up with heat transferred imprinting technique, called dye sublimation. Because during this process the paint are soaked into a material, they never scratch off. Because we use only the best paint available, the colors will stay sharp even after countless hours of gaming. And then we took all our designs for available gaming mats and made them real.

To celebrate this until December 14th all gaming mats are available with a -10% discount with a code ‘gimmecloth’ at our webshop checkout window. Grab yourself a part of upcoming holiday joy and get ready for the next year’s gaming pleasure!
