What we need is a sci-fi road on 6" wide tiles.

I got my mat in over the weekend. It's fantastic. The carrying case is a bit cheaply made and it was packaged in a way that more or less ruined the zipper though. Otherwise the mat itself is fantastic!

Ugh, I just ordered two carry bags...

Mine came through fine, but weird that they fold up the carry case rather than just ship the mat inside it!

@Deepcut - If it helps.. what I think happened to the zipper.. The carry bag was wrapped around the cardboard and it was shipped international. I think it likely got pressed between things causing a very notable kink in the zipper that causes the slider to snag when you try to zip it. The teeth at the kink were pressed enough that the fabric on both sides looks stretched creating a gap to boot..

Deepcut have some amazing quality mats.
I was let down by their customercare department when I bought my second mat from them...

I ordered a 3x3 mat online.
Then though I would prefer a 4x4 so I contacted them on Facebook asking if I could upgrade to 4x4 and was told I could.
Two days later they shipped the 3x3... they forgot to tell the shipping department or something.
When I asked what's happening?? I wanted a 4x4 they told me I'd have to pay for return shipping and more shipping to change to a 4x4...
Pretty gakky after they told me I could upgrade...

Hey at least you got a mat! Our club placed a sizable order through our FLGS eight weeks ago..

They do always ask for shipping on returns.
I've had one mat arrived damaged and I opted for a partial refund as I was able to repair it to 90% perfect.
Would definitely recommend them regardless.

It's like they don't agree with long distance trading laws.
My understanding is we are intitled to return a item for a full refund if you decide you don't want it, it's not fit for purpose (/defective.)

Asking a unhappy customers for more money to fix problems is how you loose custom.
For example
I'm less likely to buy from them again and I'm posting here my negative experiences, which has a knock on effect and costs them future sales.


I'm unsure if I'll deal with them again.
Their mats have great texture and designs.
But.
I'd recommend people buy/order their stuff locally through FLGs so that the store acts as a buffer to their shoddy customer care.

Nobody does. I've had to bully sellers from the UK and from Ukraine just the same when product needed replacing. I can be done, of course, once you demonstrate that you know how to enforce your rights across international borders.

I'm not sure how you would do that other than something like a Paypal dispute? Which is quite easy to do.

I have found Deep Cut to be good to work with - when I had a defective mat I was able to place another order to help them ship a replacement. I hope to post up some pictures of the mats I have from them later in the summer, with a good comparison to other mousepad mats

There are benefits to different types, but Deep Cut definitely has the best selection and will even do custom work. One of the mats I just got from them was a custom mat with Guild Ball lines added. I need to roughen up the lines a bit to make them look more "natural", but overall I'm quite pleased!

Well, the fact that they didn't offer to replace the messed up case does effect my opinion of them. Hearing other negative things does as well. I will say my mat was shipped at the speed promised and the quality is exactly what I was looking for.
That said, I ordered the specific pattern I did because there are no companies in the US producing that particular theme as I was looking for something akin to the planet surface in the most recent Doom game. For pretty much everything else I plan on buying from an American company.

One of my club mates had this done, so the answer is yes.

Couple of words to the above:
- bag shipping issue noted and taken into account
- replacements for damaged items - sure, if someones prefers the replacement. Partial / full refund is just another option that may or may not be acceptable. And yes, PayPal cases are encouraged.

Blacksails: mousepads are shipped as UPS deliveries outside EU, takes ~5 days to reach you. PVC and cloth singles are shipped as snail mail. Inside EU all orders are shipped as UPS deliveries and takes 3-5 days to reach you.

Just got my mat! Well, it actually came on Friday, but I was out camping all long weekend. I'll try and get some pics up for anyone interested, but it is exactly as pictured. Ordered the Nebula space mat in 4x6 in mouse pad type. Beautiful print on top, solid rubbery backing, some small wavyness left over from being rolled in shipping, but otherwise rolls out perfectly flat. Logo in the bottom right is small and out of the way. The whole thing looks awesome, and I look forward to testing it out this week during a BFG match.

The carrying case is what it is, nothing terribly exciting. If I have one minor gripe, its that the carrying case fits too perfectly. You have to take the extra time to roll up the mat fairly tight and lined up pretty perfectly to squeeze it in.

Plus, 2 weeks from clicking order to showing up on my front porch from halfway around the world is nothing to sneeze at. All in all, great product and solid service. Definitely will order from again in the future.

That is fantastic! My only criticism of the custom "medieval football" mat I had gotten from you before these were offered was that the lines were a little too stark against the background. These look nicely worn / blended in, so well done . I think they will be really popular with Guild Ball players!
