This is an interview with the victim, if anyone is interested.

Ignoring what may, or may not, have happened. I suspect the 'Lanche should be considering where to acquire #1 if Varlamov is drawn to court.

The Flyer/Capitol game tonight was disgusting. I'm a fan of fighting, but this was just stupid. Emery attacked the other goalie, after the other goalie refused the fight?

I hope he gets some disciplinary action for that...

The hilarious part is that he was named the third star.

Good job Philadelphia, way to hold up that reputation.

Big night for the Wings. 3rd win in a row on the road trip. Darren Helm's first game back in 19 months, and scores a goal. Mrazek is called up from the AHL to serve in the net, and gets a shut out.

That is a good night of hockey.

Sens are on a 5 game losing streak, they haven't won at home since October 17th, and Craig Anderson was carted off the ice on a stretcher last night.

I hope they can snap that skid tomorrow night in Columbus :(

I have a friend from Ontario, and she was also bummed about the Sen's "streak". I hope they turn it around!

Hi, I'm a die-hard Devils fan... would you like to run that "losing streak" by me again?

Yeah, I do too, it'd be nice to see them make the playoffs again this year.

Devils have 1 less win and 1 less OT than the Sens, we're not doing all that much better than you. The Islanders game we should have won, but we gave up several good leads, we were right in it with the blackhawks game and lost the lead again (this is a game we could have won and shot ourselves in the foot). The Stars game went into a shootout that we caused by tying it up in the final seconds and then lost. The Sharks game we had no chance against and the Ducks was a winnable game, but we couldn't score.

The Sens should have a better record than what they do, but they find something every game to balls it up. And with Anderson out for at least a few games, we might be extending that losing streak (not that Lehner is a terrible goalie).

My first NHL game was awesome!

Here was the view from our seats:

Really cool experience and the Senators came out with a win! There were five sens fans in the crowd last night.

Chris Neil spent most of the third in the penalty box, he started a fight and got called 2 minutes for interference, served that time, came out and scored a goal. Puck drop after that goal he starts another fight

Nice! That was a good first game to go to!

And Oshie with the shoot-out win last night! Oof, Montreal put up a good game.

Sens vs Habs tonight, refs have already stated they're not willing to deal with any sort of shenanigans tonight that might have been left over from last year's playoffs

Detroit and Tampa tonight, top two teams in the Atlantic Division.

Detroit is up 1-0 already, after Stamkos created a turn over to Zetterberg right in front of the net. Thanks Stamkos!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Welp... Detroit set a new record tonight. First time in 26 years they've lost 5 in a row at home.

I was wearing my Ottawa jersey yesterday while visiting some friends, and this older guy like 100 feet from us goes, "Ottawa?! You from there?" told him no, I was just a fan of the team. Turns out he was in Ottawa for their home opener (totally jealous), but he's a penguins fan.

Been a good week for the Sens who are on a 3 game in streak, but we've got a long way to go before we're doing well. that 5 game losing streak sucked.

Steven Stamkos out indefinitely with a broken tibia.

Now lets see how deep Tampa really is.

In other news... SPLODEY is back with the Blues! (Carlo Colaiacovo)

I've got a question for you guys. Your team is on a 4 or 5 game skid when your #1 Goalie goes out for a week or so with an injury, and your #2 is in net for three games, and you win those three games, who do you put in for that 4th game once your #1 is healthy again?

Do you ride that hot hand until the #2 loses a game, or do you put the #1 back in without question?

It really depends...

Goalies need work to stay sharp... ice them too long, and they'll be rusty when needed. Gut feeling is when the #1 is healthy, put him in.

Idk about that, I feel like in a game where momentum is huge (as a momentum killing goal is what usually kills the Sens chances at a win), I feel like you ride that hot hand until it cools. Obviously if you're going like 3 weeks or something, it might be time to throw your #1 back in there, but Craig Anderson was out with a neck injury for a week, and Robin Lehner was in goal and the Sens went on a 3 game win streak. Anderson comes back and plays against the Flyers and the Sens lose 5-0, and Anderson just didn't look like he was really able to do the job that night. He let several wrap around goals get in, and one of them he lost where the puck was on the ice >_<

It's why I say it really depends.

Things like this... there isn't a SOP for this. It's up to the players/coaches really.

That is why I said, "I've got a question for you guys" not, "what is the way to do this"

But the coach of the Sens said, "Craig's our #1, so if he's healthy we play him." oh well. They play tonight, but Idk if I"ll watch them :-\ They've not been doing well at all this year.

You could start watching the Blues as your "backup favorite" team this year.

I'd sooner watch the *gulp* Blackhawks... at least I have a slightly personal connection with them (it's like 6 degrees of Patrick Kane). One of my old buddies from summer camp (a dude I worked with) is the equipment manager of the Rockford Ice Hogs, who are a minor league affiliate of the Blackhawks

Yeah... even though they're my nemesis... the 'Hawks are a fun team to watch. Mad skilliz going on there.

Hell, I'll like Philly if they beat the Blues.

I hate all the St. Louis teams.

It's a symptom of them being my home team, and not my team.
