Feth this Sens game is terrible, Sens tie up the game and in the span of 40 seconds they give up 2 goals after a no goal call killed their momentum... This team is so fickle it's not even funny :-\

On Friday night with the Anaheim Ducks taking on the Hurricanes in Carolina, the game stretched into overtime and that's when Ducks star Corey Perry broke his stick. Instead of getting one off his own bench, he went the shorter route and just took one from Hurricanes forward Alexander Semin.
No really, that's exactly what he did. With Semin sitting on the boards ready to make a change, Perry smoothly skated by and simply took the stick right out of Semin's hands. All of a sudden Semin couldn't hop on the ice for his shift and Perry made off like a bandit.
The Hurricanes and Semin in particular were incredulous on the bench but Perry really did get away scott-free; he avoided a penalty on the play.
Good night of hockey all around. Blues beat Boston in a shoot out. Detroit finally snaps it's 7 game losing streak, and 8 game home losing streak. Toronto lost. All is well in the Atlantic division tonight.
Oh, and the Big Z put himself into 2nd in the NHL point wise tonight.

I'm at work so don't get to watch, but I'm dissapointed so far... Detroit seemed like they had everything firing on all cylinders the first 15 minutes. Since then though...

I got to listen to puck drop to start the game, and then nothing until the start of the second, but yeah, the Red Wings don't seem so scary. Sorry djones :-\
And Chris Neil with the fight!

Alf... that team is the master of "flipping the switch"... so don't discount them.

Blues are up 2-1 agains the Stars.
I gather that, but the in the two games I've seen of them, they just haven't done much of anything I guess... Though to be fair, Lehner is doing a bang up job in goal.
Lucky bounce off a Senator tied the game, same thing that gave the Sens a 2-1 lead.

And just as I open my mouth...
Yeah, you and I should just probably stop talking because as soon as I mentioned them not being so scary, they score and now... 5-3 power play with about 2:40 in a regular power play.
What a way to end a game, I'm not sure what was with the Sens tonight, but they were physical, and not always in a good or legal way. Saw a lot of slashes to the back of the kneed, an elbow to Datysuk, Chris Neil looking to fight anything wearing red. I like seeing the Sens play physically, but man they pushed the envelope tonight. Lots of calls that should have been penalties, though I gather that's probably why they didn't stop with it.

Sounds like a game where we needed Tootoo... but he's sittin in Grand Rapids right now.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Pavel Datsyuk out due for at least the next game due to concussion like symptoms following that elbow...

I'll be making one Blues game this season. Last game of the season, when Detroit comes to town. A fair group of Wings fans that I work with, we'll be buying a bunch of seats.
