Devils vs. Blackhawks tonight, hoping its not a repeat of last time... be nice to see the Devils win 3 games in a row, and even nice if we could hold on to our 4th place position in the standings long enough to beat out the Flyers for 3rd.

Got some Blues tickets for me and the girlfriend on the 14th! Blues and Coyotes.
Blues vs Coyotes eh? Want to make sure you see a win?
Sens managed to string 3 in a row last night against the Jets. It looks like they're starting to figure out how to win. Though I wonder what this says about Jason Spezza as captain since he's been out since they started this little streak.

Hey, I like the Coyotes! To this day they remain the only team which I've seen outside of a Devils game - Coyotes vs. Blue Jackets in Arizona... I was sad to see just as many Blue Jackets fans as Coyotes fans... I mean, I forget that the Blue Jackets are even an NHL team half the time... and I'm not saying that to be a dick, I mean I legitimately forget that there is a team in Colombus Ohio and/or they are referred to as the "Blue Jackets" like I've tried naming all 30 NHL teams before, and somehow they are always the one team I can't remember lol.

They're not even an NHL team I don't like the Blue Jackets, but they are the closest venue to me, and now that they're in the East, the Sens have to play them at home a few times. So it's my chance to see the team I root for live.

Gah... If NHL games were only 20 minutes long, the Caps woulda just won one of their better efforts of the year.. That second period against the Wild was just terrible. Too many bad penalties. Too little time in the O zone. Just too much bad hockey.
And what's up with Holtby? That loss definitely wasn't his fault, but he sure ain't bringing any luck with him into the crease.
The Boys in Red need to get out of this slump soon. Philly just jumped 'em in the mediocre Metro!

He keeps that level of play up, Boston better start watching its back.
I saw that game.. the wings are getting scarier as we go deeper into the season.
At least the Blues curbstompped the Blue Jackets last night!
Want to know whats going on with Boston and this slide they are on. Road games do not seem to be going well lately. Injury bug isn't helping I know but come on.
Bruins fan till the end.
Never assume anything, it will only make an ass of you and me.
Detroit beat LA 3-1 last night with Howard tying his best of the season 44 saves.
Then he got injured, and Alfredsson sat out the game due to injury as well.
How the hell is the team going to build any consistency when it's just one big rotation of injuries? We've already lost more man-games to injuries this year then any other team...

There are 6 teams ahead of Detroit, including my NJ Devils. Considering that a lot of those lost man games (in the case of the Devils) have been lost on the part of people that we are very reliant upon for scoring (Elias, Clowe, Brunner), its probably hurt the Devils more than any other team in the league.
But damn, seriously... Pittsburgh...

Can't wait to watch the Blues/Redwings game tonight! djones, you better be watching!
I can't unfortunately. It's a local market game, so my online viewer won't show it, and I don't have cable to watch it. I may boot up a russian feed of it, we'll see. I hate those things.
We've been playing a lot better, but with as many injuries as we have, I'm anything but comfortable about this game (and Wednesdays against Chicago). Hopefully it'll be a good game.

I'm in the same boat, but I have a gift card to Buffalo Wild Wings. I might make a trip out to watch it. If not, I'll be listening to the radio broadcast while playing some Minecraft.
So just saw online that Tortorella was suspended for his actions, but the Calgary coach get's a "mere" fine? I didn't see the actual event that caused their punishments.... Only thing I've seen are articles talking about Calgary dropping the gloves on the opening faceoff of the first period.... Was there more to this than I've been able to get to?

Tortorella actually went into the Flames tunnel after the first period and tried to start a fight; I'm guessing that's why he got more punishment
EDIT: Video of the incident

Ouch, Zack Smith got off easy for that upper cut with his glove on... 2 minutes for roughing and Grabovski gets 2 minutes for roughing and a 10 minute misconduct for fighting after the fight was broken up (I mean wouldn't you if you took a gloved upper cut?)

So how bout them Devils? Beat the Blues 7-1. Let me say that again. The Devils beat the Blues, 7-1. The. Devils. Beat. Both. Elliott. And. Halak. To. End. The. Game. Seven. Points. To. One.
I am so glad to see the Devils finally able to field their full roster, maybe we can finally get a streak going.

Yeah... we got spanked.
Now our bandwagon fan will be wanting the Blues to trade for Miller.
