I have never used commander Pask before and looking at his crack shot rule am I right in thinking that if his tank sits still he either
1) adds +1 to the vehicle damage chart like an AP1/2 weapon? (most likely)
or
2) adds a +1 to the strength of the weapons he fires.

If its the latter putting him in a kitted out vanquisher with a Lascannon and plasma cannons or executioner means ID to a lot of T4 units

That is not how he works. He gives 1+ to the armour penetration roll when shooting at tanks, or he lets you reroll to wound against MC's. this is only if the tank does not move. He always makes it BS4 though, even when it is moving.

I know its not either/or I was trying to ask is it one of them against vehicle's sorry my bad. So the below formula is right?

eg. a stationary vanquisher with pask can fire at BS4 a
lascannon +D6 +1
Vanquisher cannon +2D6 +1
And plasma sponsons +D6 +1

No, first you must score a penetraing hit, THEN when you roll that d6 to see what happens, you add a +1 to that roll.

So you would still need to hit
Then penerate
and only then, if you didn't move, his special rule applies

Using your orignal post, that would be point #1

1) adds +1 to the vehicle damage chart like an AP1/2 weapon

You are incorrect sir.

"If using the Crack Shot rule when firing against a vehicle, all shots add +1 to any armor penetration rolls."

So you roll to hit,
The roll for armor penetration, add +1.
Then if you penetrate you roll on the table.

It does not say: roll to hit, roll to penetrat and then add +1 to your roll on the damage chart.
It is really pretty clear.

Edit: And yes, pask in a Vanquisher with a lascannon and Multimelta sponsons is a great anti armor platform.

I've run that pask vanquisher combo. He misses a lot.

.Only a fool believes there is such a thing as price gouging. Things have value determined by the creator or merchant. If you don't agree with that value, you are free not to purchase.

Pask hits on a 3+. That's like saying marines miss a lot. Try adding a divination Libby?

Pask is overpriced for what he does, tbh, but he is a nice little upgrade to give your tanks a little extra bite. He excels at mauling AV12 vehicles with the Exterminator/Punisher and he isn't a bad choice for the Vanquisher either. Though his +1 strength to it against vehicles isn't all that useful, tbh, for the Vanquisher.

I've always used him in a exterminator with lascanon to very good effect. But that vanquisher with mm and lc would be good at killing riptides and elder w knights.

40k is as exciting as riding a pony, which doesn't sound very exciting.......

But the pony is 300 feet tall and covered in CHAINSAWS!
