Let's be honest....Chaos Telomeres are WAY more durable. If anyone watches Archer, they'd realize that Kor Phaeron is actually a Perpetual because he plays Archer's huskarl, Woodhouse. >.>

I really need to stop skimming threads. I saw the underlined and thought it said "Chaos Telemarketers". I got nervous for a moment...

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Don't forget the easy reason he's lived so long. It's the same reason that many of the Space Marines that lead the assault of terra still fight in the same battle today. Going into the Eye, warps time itself and can make someone who is long lived (like the original traitors) seem impossibly loved lived. I think that is a good enough explaination for the longivity of Kor Phaeron.

I'd assume he still lives because he sold his soul to the Dark Gods a long time ago, most likely while raising Aurelian.
It's along those lines of, how is Erebus still alive?
They both are working hand in hand w/ the Greater beings of Chaos to become Greater deamons themselves and live forever.
For all it's worth, Erebus is the reason the Great Betrayal happened, not Kor Phaeron.

Well Erebus is an Astartes, they have the potential to live forever anyway.

Kor Phaeron however, is still technically human. He was too old to be transformed into a full space marine.

Besides, Erebus is a son of Chaos. Kor Phaeron is so much cooler.
