Just clear this up for myself, it seems this discussion is about having my transport destroyed and the unit inside then diving into a building with it's forced disembark movement?
If this is the case, it cannot be done. Models can only voluntarily embark during the movement phase. (p.78)

Since it's possible for a vehicle to wreck itself in its own movement phase, the question is still open, albeit rather more narrow in scope.

Uh, actually it wasn't legal, the picture I selected wasn't what we were using on vassal, we were using a building, I thought that picture I posted represented a building, but apparently it doesn't. Read the title of the thread next time.

I did read the title of the thread, I did assume the pic you posted was simular looking to what you were using, which is a ruin (lack of contained walling) perhaps then your opponent believed it was meant to represent a ruin.
(edit) just 're read your posts and you do say the terrain you were using looked like the picture, sorry this is defiantly a ruin not a building - to clarify, a ruin is generally open top and has incomplete walls, you can move around in a ruin and move up and down floors.buildings generally are
closed spaces and have a roof, buildings have access points and fire points, you don't move your models around in a building on the board. So yeah if it looked like that and no one told him it's a count as building not really his fault.

It doesn't matter, the question as presented was answered numerous times. As for Vassal it's the poor man's 40k and imo has no place here. That said your. rule question was answered, you and your opponent should have discussed the terrain before the battle, so don't get snippy at us if you're not satisfied with the answer.
