I'm pretty sure he was at least killed by Sargent Tellion officially. But his biomass was recovered/copied/whatever Tyranids do so there's just more of him around.

No, that was just an ordinary Carnifex.

As for the lack of availability, he's still on the Australian webstore if you really want him. He's under Heavy Support, not HQ.

I don't see why you're concerned. You can make a much better Old One Eye from the Carnifex kit with zero conversion work and have a bunch of bits left over for other monstrous creatures, for less than they were charging for Old One Eye.

I will be using a stone crusher carnifex with twin crusher claws and rams for my Old One Eye. Going to mount the scything blades directly out of the lower shoulder socket after drilling it.

Personally love Old One Eye, even though he is somewhat overpriced, but I hate the model.

Truth be told i dont even know anyone that even HAS the Old One-Eye model at all, let alone uses it lol

He lost his other eye to a Scout Sniper, couldn't see anymore, and starved to death?

When they first came out with Old One Eye, the Red Terror, Death Leaper... I thought it was ridiculous, as the bugs are a hive mind controlled by one very big, powerful psychic entity. Sure, some bugs could develop individual characteristics or personalities, but at the end of a campaign, all the bugs jump into a biopool to return their biomass to The Great Devourer. I guess the Hive Mind could store the individual personality of a bug and respawn it at a later date if it was a particularly effective personality, but everything I know of bugs is that the Hive Mind would more likely just create a whole new species of bug with those characteristics/traits/personality if it was that effective.

In actual play, those character bugs were just fun to play against and see on the table. I wish their were more of them.

Do we need a new explanation thread for every single old metal or Finecast kit that gets OOP? We all know for years now that these are discontinued once the moulds wear out.

1.) The model is much too small by current Carnifex standards.
2.) The model is old and ugly.
3.) There is not enough demand to justify the costs.
4.) A better fitting and looking model is available for 8 years now.

Maybe GW finally got rid of almost all their stock of OOE. I believe on another forum, it was said he is still available in UK or somewhere in Europe.
