OK man if you could post some pics that would be brilliant!
Azazelx suggested that I do an army shot, so here goes!
So far I've completed:
- 2 Grenadier platoons (one under strength) with Panzershreck option
- HMG platoon
- Pak37 AT platoon, with traktor units
- Looted tank
- JagzPanzer IV platoon
- Panzer
Here is a screenshot courtesy of easyarmy.com (which is a must for any Flames of War player, so useful for list building!)
Looking at this I have another 400pts or so to complete.
Any C&C very welcome as always!

Last update with this for a while, as I temporarily move to painting some Xmas presents, some Deadzone and bits for an Infinity tournament I hope to run in the new year
"On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, a Panzerkampfwagen VI 'Tiger'.."
This one is from Peter Pig miniatures, which after some reading from a very useful blog, sounds like it is one of the best on the market
( http://wargames.nordalia.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=105&Itemid=65)
For anyone who hasn't played FoW, these tanks are so much fun! You get a 'tiger ace' skill, basically to represent that the guys driving these things were hardened veterans who knew their way around a tank, and the best crews were rewarded with the best tank. The bonus is a random dice roll, and can be anything from extra shots/re-rolls (very useful) to being less likely to bog down in poor ground (less useful). Regardless, the thought of the 88 shells hitting you from across the board will inspire fear when placed down on the opponents side of the table, or enjoyment on seeing that look on your opponents face. After playing US Armoured Rifles for some time (and duelling tank destroyers against these things) am looking forward to the latter for once!
Next up, a looted T60
A quick note, yes I know this force is modelled on Normandy Heer (army). There is no way that looted T60s could have made their way that far West. But, as I said I'm sick of painting Shermans from my last FoW project and that would have been the more suitable, other option! I really wanted to use a little Matilda, or something similar, as a more historically accurate version, but sadly there isn't that option in the rules.
This is a Battlefront miniature. I've modelled it with some small logs on the front, to represent the veteran crew trying to give their tank a bit more protection. In game, one miniature platoons are really risky - easy to destroy and give away victory points. But, it will be extremely useful to hide it, then zip forward and collect any unguarded objectives towards the end of the game.
Finally a size comparison - Heavy tank vs. light!
Any C&C very welcome!

Yes the T-60 wouldn't want to get hit by the Tigers '88, although it would be a waste of the heavy tanks shot to try and shoot something like that! Needs to be used on mediums at least, or other heavies.
Thanks for the comments guys in any case, brief hiatus now while I get some other stuff painted (painting a mass battle army is bloody tiring, even at 15mm!) but hopefully will get on to some of the other stuff - I've left the more exotic units and dioramas for last, so hopefully more interesting!

Thanks guys!
Carlos - I've been doing some of the Perry 100yr war miniatures, for use with some modified 'Ronin' rules. And, some bits and pieces for an Infinity display.
Quick update, a diorama I finished previously that will be used as an objective marker.
Making a German FoW army that doesn't feature Kubelwagens is like seeing a soft-top Mini that isn't being driven by a 30-something woman with shoulder-length died-blonde hair; simply unthinkable.
So, these are some that have seen better days, but there will be some complete Kubelwagens coming later!
Destroyed Kubelwagens and surrendering German trooper miniatures are both by Peter Pig
Any C&C very welcome!
Next up, some Mortar teams.

Yes either the PSC or FoW starter bundle are great value, you'll be happy with whichever one you go for. A few people have commented that the PSC Germans are a little bit slight and easily broken, but then if you're painting this stuff you're going to be careful with it right? I managed to not break 6mm Epic miniatures, and have had no trouble with these..
Thanks for the comments guys! Will hopefully have some more pics to show soon, as soon I finished getting sidetracked by painting miniatures from a somewhat earlier (about 1200 years) historical period..

PSC starter bundle? where might i find the PSC bundle? But yeah, im going for a mixed list, that will have mostly infantry, or.... i was thinking of going back to my old idea, and making a british list, maybe a late war brit list, or mid war list, with an 8th army theme, so it'll be tan, etc since the 8th army was in north africa, etc

Sorry OrkKiller21 for a ) not replying to you for 10 months and b ) my bad grammar! There isn't any PSC starter bundles that I'm aware of, although I think they do have discounts if you buy multiple kits (on what are already very reasonably priced sets).
First update in a while! I have been gradually building terrain and minis for this project, in amongst other projects. It takes a lot of terrain to fill a 6x4 board at 15mm, I am now finding out!
Firstly, I mentioned previously I had been using the Tamiya diorama basing material with this force. I just can't get over how useful it is, already having the sand/brown colour with the material, it means you don't have to do a steady hand job of painting green stuff in-between small cracks. I've just used it with this armoured rocket launcher for instance, where it's perfect for filling the gaps between the miniature and the base. It now just needs a quick coat of brown paint to help blend it in.
Some of the terrain I have been building (from 4Ground kits), which are absolutely lovely, easy to put together and not too expensive. Here is an arty photo, featuring the now ubiquitous JagzPanzer IV
Hopefully have some more updates with the Rocket Launchers completed over the next week, in the meantime any C&C very welcome!

First... steady hand job... bwahahaha!
Ok now I can reply seriously
Between you and carlos, this is about as far as my interest in 15mm/ww2 stuff goes, so I'm happy to see you putting out more models because it is somewhat interesting to me
Your arty photo is very nice! The only thing it needs is some townsfolk cowering in the buildings... bu they probably learned to stay the hell away from windows too.
Rocket tuck and crew is sweet as well, and the base is quite nice.
Thanks for sharing!

Cheers for the comments mate! (most of them anyway, haha! )
Bit of a bumper update today.
Firstly, the finished Rocket Launcher platoon. These were a bit of an indulgence (£ wise, they were about a third of the total of the entire army!) but they were such characterful looking minis I had to include them. There are a few Peter Pig infantry mixed in amongst the Battlefront ones.
A close-up of one launcher, with the crew loading rockets. I've modelled these with five crew each, so they benefit from the extra attack rule.
The command team, and my favourite part of the army, the Kubelwagon!
Finally, the spotter team
Any C&C very welcome! Am just working on my next units now, a Recon platoon, and an anti-aircraft unit, which I'll hopefully be able to post over the next few days.

Does the kubelwagon transport the command team or is it a separate unit entirely? I think the rocket trucks were worth it, they're neat.

Nice work all around.
I just picked up the 4ground shop kit yesterday because it seemed reasonably nifty and in that nice niche between "fully pre-assembled" and "here's some bare plastic/ MDF." In other words, it's cheaper and I still get to do something, but I don't have to do a ton. I was pondering expanding on that, assuming I don't kludge this kit up, whenever the Panther/Jagdpanther kit finally makes an appearance in the Colonies. I did want to ask though do you have any experience with gaming with them? Are they good for interacting with during a game or are they more for display?
I also like the bases on things. I feel the flock on my own is a bit dense so I love the very nice blending on yours.

Many thanks for the comments guys!
Grimdork - Yes it is just a transport for the command team. Usually I don't think they are actually that useful (it's not like the command team needs to keep up with a rapidly advancing unit when they are linked to an artillery platoon), although I have had to use it to beat a hasty retreat before when you have something fast moving approach! The transport is free though and think they are such cool looking miniatures, so I always try and include them, like a fashion accessory!
Krinsath - I think the 4Ground kits are probably as good as you are going to get, in terms of a combination of something that looks good, but is also accessible. The ones I have, the roof slots into place, or the building is in two halves (with a partition in the middle of the building). It's very quick to do, and you could probably put a unit inside without too much trouble and without disturbing the terrain. It's ten times easier than say the Micro Arts apartment buildings, or something like that for example.
Think the biggest issue with these is forgetting you have a unit hidden inside the buildings, and then thinking you have lost the unit when you pack up!

Yes the pre-paints are really nice.
What I've done though is get just one painted example of each, and then buy a bunch of unpainted basic wooden kits. They are quite a lot cheaper and when you are buying in bulk it really saves some money.
Small update, I have now updated my army list. I wasn't sure that the Fallschirmjager fitted the theme of the force I was going for, so I've replaced them with a scout unit and a couple of armoured AA-half tracks - progress shown below
If anyone is interested, this is a good way I've found of painting the little 15mm guys. These are some miniatures from Command Decision that, I have to be honest, probably aren't as good as either Battlefront or Peter Pig. This is the start of the recon unit, who are going to be 3 per base, and interspaced with lots of bushes and other scatter terrain.
And next in line, the half tracks.

Another update as this project finally approaches a conclusion.
This time, a Grenadier Scout Platoon.
I've used just three miniatures per base to help differentiate them (and I think suits the character a bit more) as well as various scatter terrain on the bases.
I've tried to copy some of the camo pattern as found commonly amongst Grenadiers in the later part of the war
I've now got an armoured AA gun section to complete and then that's it !
Any C&C very welcome!

I know there is some pretty good 15mm sci-fi from the likes of Khurosan, although not something I've really got into yet (I think there are probably 5-6 different companies that release regular stuff)
Have really been doing some work with terrain over the weekend trying to get it finished. Almost done now, just a few more rows of trees and some dirt paths, then hopefully get it all packed up and down to the club to get some games played!

Some pics of the board in action.
Finally everything is more or less done! I have a couple of AA half-tracks to finish painting and then that's it
Playing the 'Fighting Withdrawal' mission, I had to try and hold off an advancing armoured recon platoon (British) while my troops withdrew. The British were attempting to seize control of the town and crossroads in Northern France.
The force gets ready to advance
German infantry hurry forward to occupy a church. A Tiger tank lurks nearby, trying to stay out of the line of fire of an approaching Firefly.
Very few of the assaulting Cromwells made it to the town, some well hidden Jagdpanzers continued to fire accurately on them as they advanced. Their concealment (and the fact that the advancing tanks were firing on the move) meant they survived the game.
A squadon of Typhoons spent the entire game trying to bomb the Tiger. The proximity of the building meant that it kept having to abort bombing runs, although it finally succeeded on the final attack of the game
