A legit photo/game shot of a model's source, or a render.
I asked about it, but it got promptly ignored in favour of other stuff.
Not ignored Brook, just missed
'as this is an unlockable extra and we are on KS we have started working on this when it became apparent it would likely happen (so over the WE). As soon as the render is approved we will share it and at that moment it will go into production (so we will be able to show the actual Model hopefully before the end of the KS). Remember KS is to back a project. In this case firstly to allow the deluxe version of the game to be produce and secondly to accelerate the timeline of production to produce other products that wouldn't see the light of day otherwise to the very earliest 12-24 months from now (this and all the other unlocks).'

Maybe it's worth noting, maybe not, but the Kroot "dreads" are apparently bone, or at the very least some kind of cartilage I guess, because the Kroot trophy skull that comes in the Dark Eldar venom (I think?) still has them attached to it after being cleaned off and put on display.
Of all the add-ons, which ones are KS exclusive? I know the berserker is, but I would hate for the other models to be...namely the Aliens warriors.

Well the retail box of AvP will have monopose one piece plastic miniatures, not sure if the Deluxe edition with multipose resin miniatureswill hit retail. But I guess separate resin boxes will.

I second loving Colonial marines, I just wish they'd do a series of 3 films focused on a squad of marines, boot camp, missions etc or is that just me who'd be giddy for that?
Also throw in W-Y mercs as a faction, and if they look like the ones in colonial marines I'll be so hyper.

For a kickstarter of plastic stuff, they are pretty costly.
But the IP is costly too...
I want to back it, but the box itself is not a great deal yet.
Someone know how they "plastic" feel for hobbysts?

I don't like its haircut! Makes zero sense, it like saying if an alien drone came out of Miley Cyrus it would have a short side-parting, bright red lipstick and be wearing briefs.
Also, 'that scene' in the 2nd AvP movie (which was that day's 'GTA torture scene' if I remember correctly)
Will be interesting to see what the royal drones turn out - know they had a mention in one of the Steve Perry Alien books book I can't remember which one..
Though it's not actually hair, they're more like spines or whiskers (though thick and soft) - some of which get decorated on the Preds, so in that contact they still make sense. Also, while the Predalien is naked, I've never seen it swinging on a wrecking ball while crying and warbling - or rubbing it's nether regions with a giant foam hand!

I dont know, maybe Yautja and Xenomorphs genetic goes weird when fused? They are the only creatures in the scenario who dont bleed red...
2nd AvP was a good movie, who saddly could have been great if it was not for ONE stupid ideia (pretty much like aliens ressurrection movie)
Spoiler:
serious, when they will understand that xenomorphs reproduce in one way, and only that way?
At least, if you forget that horrendous ideia, it is better than the first by miles...
As this tread seens to be filled with fans of booth brands: there is any good novels, HQs or missing piece of fluffy who describes the Predators society more deeply? I always wanted to explore them in RPG, and had to almost create the details about "what we do when not hunting?".

Quick question, are you doing the Aliens xenomorph warrior, or the AVPR warrior?
Little orphans in the snow
With nowhere to call a home
Start their singing, singing
Waiting through the summertime
To thaw your hearts in wintertime
That's why they're singing, singing

Yeah the scene in question was both ballsy and tasteless at the same time. I actually watched AVP again last night because I had only seen it the one time, but it was worse than I remembered. It's just so... dull overall. I actually enjoy AVP:R to an extent (while acknowledging that it's terrible) because it does away with all the pretenses and just becomes a marathon of mindless gore featuring the two coolest movie monsters ever. On the other hand, AVP tried to be a legitimate entry in both series and failed badly, which makes it just feel boring and not really have any reason to watch it.
Nice dodging the censors there you criminal of society. Also, isn't it a MAX unit?
Heh, was going to call it the Sh*tkicker but figured I'd get a clobbering for dodging the filter and thought it would be corrected to gakkicker...
The cyborg berserker in Tribes was called a MOX, I thought, (MOX, Mobile Offensive Exo-Warrior) and was essentially built around the mangled remains of a former marine, unlike the later and over the top MAX which was like a centurion suit.
Although I may be remembering wrong, it's been a long time.

I've only read the Dredd author penned story about a MAX suit and a squad of penal troops including a point man whose whole point was to get caught and be brought to the hive. Talk about nightmare fuel.

Maybe I can come across it sooner or later, I tore through the six omnibuses this weekend. There's a lot of drek in there but at least a few stories are well worth it.

*bursts though room with axe* HEEEAAARRRS JHONNY!!!
Ok so after reading the kick-starter, Im glad they have chosen to go with a skirmish sized game, but I wonder if they are going to use a grid base for movement or a tape measure? I hope they use inches for the game, it would be nice to fight in the jungle...
Also for all Predator fans:
If it bleeds we can kill it..

yes that's the one.
And yes, I think that's the point with the Predalien - that they went with what looks cool, rather than what makes sense. Because having it like that makes it seem as though the Predators dreadlocks are just part of its biology, rather than its own ornamentation. Which, IMO just makes the Predator that much less cool and characterful!
Anyway.. moving on!
@Cincydooly - for the comics I would probably recommend the first AvP omnibus (which has IMO the coolest AvP story written.. you will watch it and lament the missed opportunity with the steaming pile of horse dung that was the movie). Otherwise the Aliens ones are pretty good, and probably preferable to the later AvP ones.
I prefer Steve Perry's novelizations of the comics to the comics themselves. He's a great writer for this genre and Prodos made a great move getting him to write for this boxed set.
