And by the way, I have a full day just like you. I work 5am - 1:30 pm, hit the gym, then go off to my campus to sit in classes until I'm home at 9pm. We all have busy schedules, what you choose to fit into it is again, up to you. If I were in your position, I'd go to the gym at night and then go straight to bed, like you proposed.
Dude you don't know what the feth a full day is.
Please tell me how operating for 18+ hours isn't a full day? Gtfo buddy. *rolls eyes*
You're not doing 18+ hours a day. You're doing a part time job, farting around and then doing some evening classes.
Way to oversimplify pal. I won't fall for the bait though.
Nope. You didn't say how many hours you putzed around between work and school. You also didn't say if you did that every day.
I laid it out above. That is 5 days a week, but the gym is absolutely 7. Automatically Appended Next Post:

4-5 hours is not healthy for 99% of people. You may be lucky and be one of the few that can manage on that, or your headed for major problems. You do not get used to less sleep. Some people do sleep less. Most can't.
I notice you have zero time to cook and eat. Also unhealthy. Not stopping to eat is damaging. Also expensive. I suspect you may be going to the gym but doing damage in other ways. Maybe not, but you have to accept most people don't take 15 mins to get to work. They do need more sleep than you. The only reason you can manage that routine is because of these things. Good for you. Well done. Seriously, I'm glad you enjoy it and find that fulfilling, but you have to see you are not the norm. Most people cannot do that.
Oh, and by the way, going to the gym and doing that much exercise 7 days a week is bad for you. Ask any elite athlete. Rest days are needed.

I wake up at 4am, shower and dress, I'm out by 4:45am. I work until 1:30pm, I'm at the gym by 2pm. I work out until 3, sometimes 3:30, come home and shower, then I'm on the bus to school for the evening. I actually get less sleep than you thought, I run on about 4 - 5 hours a night. I've been doing it for years though, I'm very used to it. I'm 24, and I do understand I have an advantage because of that. Let's cut out my evening and assume I don't have lectures to attend. That's a whole lot of spare time to screw around with! Not to mention days off work like weekends and such.
edit - looks like someone QQed to the bosses of the site and got my signature removed. Unbelievable, people.
You don't really have an advantage because of your age, as someone that is 24 themselves, here is my day:
I'm up by 5:30, showered, shaved, lunch made and out the door by 6:15/6:20 to drive an hour to work. Get to work, work until 5, drive an hour or so home. get home around 6:30 (freaking Cleveland and Canton traffic sucks!) eat dinner. It's now about 7/7:15 or so, and I have 3 and a half to 4 hours to wind down, prep for the next day, and get to sleep. I do have the hour to work out, but after my long day, the last thing I want to do is work out and make myself more exhausted but more wound up.
Working in an office sucks and the mental drain makes you not want to do anything physical. So my excuse? mini pizzas and beer (and mental drain of staring at code for 8 hours a day).

Right, next time I'll be sure to specify that I didn't mean going to the gym gives you eternal life.
I didn't say you said that, you said that being overweight leads to destruction, and all I said was that being alive leads to destruction.
Being fit is good, but you come across as having an unhealthy obsession with healthiness. It is like a guy with OCD that can't understand why everyone doesn't flip the light switch 5 times whenever they enter a room. I can't imagine it is bad as it is coming off, but your life sounds relentlessly, incredibly dour.

It's not much time if people just prioritize it over sitting on their asses watching sports or bad shows on TV or having a food binge session. Everyone has their own reasons for their degree of fitness.
You have set yours at a higher priority, which is great.
To judge others and apply labels you are not entitled to (just plain rude).
Broad sweeping statements are the realm of prejudice.
Its like judging a smoker: just grit your teeth and hope they see the error in their ways eventually and point out some tactics or methods to possibly quit.
I am personally in agreement NOW for making the time and have lost a huge amount of weight (65lbs and counting) but can also see the other side of getting too involved in other things and dismissing your need to maintain a healthy weight until it is a huge uphill battle. It is almost not being "selfish" enough to make the time to invest in your health.
It all happens not always as a flaw of character, but a whole series of choices and them accumulating a pound at a time.

I was making mention that your age doesn't have to do much with your I can run on very little sleep. I'm 24 and I become useless on anything less than 6 hours of sleep. Why do I not work out at the end of the day? Because I'm mentally drained and the last thing I want to do is waste an hour becoming physically drained as well.

Canned tuna. Contained mercury and high levels of salt. Raw vegetables are much harder for your body to process and most of the nutrients pass right through. I don't know how much bread you eat, but to get enough carbs that must get boring fast. It is also a processed starch. Your body processes it in to sugars quite quickly and eating too much can lead to type 2 diabeties.
Apart from anything else it would be boring to eat the same thing every day.

Dang, I totally lost track of what the article was about when I saw her picture. That's one attractive lady. I'm better now though, so here are my .02 cents: the fat-acceptance movement kinda worries me. Being really overweight really shouldn't be celebrated. We live in an increasingly sedentary society and the basic American diet is waaay too heavy on sugars, carbs, and fats. People need to be encouraged to take good care of their bodies. Does everyone need to be as fit and toned as Mrs. Kang? Heck no! But you need to eat well and try to exercise, even if you can only 30 minutes of cardio a day. Being unhealthy just makes you miserable, and the fact that there's a movement to promote unhealthy living boggles my mind. I ~Tim?

I think it's the political correctness that is offending everyone. Bring it back to the 90s people, this would have been a motivational poster, not something she should apologize over. We've become too touchy. Remember, we're in the years for apologizing over this, blaming the teachers for kids getting bad grades, and parents having the cops called for delivering an appropriate spanking to misbehaving brats.

You present yourself as having a fairly myopic view on what constitutes healthiness and how one should approach it, and seem to have trouble understanding why others would/could view it differently.
